At the heart of all types of western music, lives the blues. Our ears are trained to the sound of the progreseions.when we listen and play country rock pop r n b punk ,jazz and blues and we naturally anticipate the blues changes

Hello. I'm Eduardo, I'm 65 years old, I live in Barcelona (Spain) and I'm learning to play the guitar. I really like your videos, your guitar lessons. I think you are a great guitarist and a wonderful teacher. I have subscribed to your classes and I am learning a lot. I wish you good health, much happiness and a long life with your family. Thank you very much, you are a very valuable person. Eduardo.

This is such a killer lesson. Thank you for sharing this great information! When I find a lesson this good, I keep it up on my browser and study it for weeks. I dont try to learn the whole thing in one sitting. 2-3 minutes of info at a time. I come back through the day to practice what I learned in the morning. I would put this lesson on top of a long list of great lessons. this is #1 on my list.

There are some good teachers on the net and you are one of the best. I specially liked the why explanations during the solo part. A lot more valuable than just memorizing the notes. Gives a lot of ideas to do future explorations.

I have seen a lot of Blue songs practices by many guitarists on the internet, but I was somehow still confused because what I was looking for was the reasoning behind these chords and why do they always come together when we play the blue songs especially the dominant 7 ones. Now I cant thank you enough for solving this mistry. That is do the 1, 4,5 chords progression first and convert all of them to dominant seven open chords and continue with the 1,4,5 chords progression.. I will never forget this . I am more than happy to discover what has been puzzling for so long in my efforts to learning the guitar. God bless you my brother for sharing your knowledge.

I’m a beginner, trying to learn how to play the guitar by watching demo/tuitions in KZread. I find this is one of the best among high quality teachings. The scores and Tab provided are useful for my trying to follow and play it on the guitar. Mr. Swift’s demonstration and explanations are very clear. Even those who can’t read the scores and Tab, learning to play is still possible by listening and watching the video. Well done! Mr. Swift. Keep going your way. Many learners will benefit from your teachings.

Thank you so much. I played rythm guitar for years in bands but playing lead guitar solos was a mystery to me. This lesson unlocks it like the Rosetta Stone in the British Museum in London. It was found a few years ago discarded in a builders yard and unlocked the secrets of the Egyptian pyramids 5000 years ago. This is the equivalent for me now. You mentioned becoming a father on another video. Congratulations. 👨‍🎨

I wanted to say a HUGE thank you for the way you present your tuition because for me anyway your concise and clear describing everything at a patient rate eg not cramming too much to quickly.. By me now for the first time understanding the 145 and as i put it the doh lar ray me notes etc in no time i was not only managing your solo at the end of your lesson albeit not so well timed as your strumming patterns, but also confident within the key to go find some notes of my own which i now know WILL work with each other..
