Howard, this is brilliant! That is how a video lesson should be structured with the tabs and broken down sections! I've been watching hundreds of guitar KZread video lessons in the last 3 years and your video is a beginner student's heaven! Now, I can keep up and follow this lesson because it has everything I need! THANK YOU and keep up the great work! Cheers from Vancouver, BC, Canada.

Hello from France, My name is Pierre and while surfing YT your video “Beginning jazz guitar” caught my attention. I've been playing for quite a long time and when I improvise on a somewhat complicated chord chart it's difficult for me to recognize the passage of measures. And I have 2 questions on this subject: 1-Do you have an explanation on the origin of this "rhythmic blocking?" 2-Can you tell me some exercises to correct this defect so that the passage of the measures comes naturally? I don't think I'm the only one to have this rhythm problem, your answer could be of interest to a lot of guitarists. Many thanks in advance. If one day you come to France, in Brittany, you are welcome, I can introduce you to amateur and professional guitarists. (Except JUL & AUG holidays) Many thanks in advance for your response. Pierre

Thank you! 😃
I swear I learned more in this one video than in months trying to learn from others. Thank you this was extremely helpful, easy to follow, and easy to pick up. Excellent lesson

Great to hear! And thanks so much :-)
Howard, another great lesson.
Love this
Subscribed The way you teach is so awesome and clear. Thank you, Definitely a beginner and want to learn at the age of 70. I have an Electric and Acoustic Guitar. Wondering which one would be earlier?

Acoustic or Electric is fine... Whatever feels right for you. I'll be bumping the series up to Electric very soon :-)

I'm right with you! At 61 I've been playing for years, but I never really knew what I was doing. This is the FIRST time I've ever seen a solid lesson breakdown on youtube!
Very intresting. Easy to do. Thank you Sir Howart
I agree with many of the comments. Outstanding simplicity and has taken me somewhere I have been wanting to go for a long time. Nice job and thank you!
Todo un maestro

Pierre
Cool 😃
Hi Howard, I love your teaching methods! Do you give in person lessons ?
tks! Pro
I watched this based on your intro but you didn’t even mention that. Is that for later?
Very nice and well explained lesson! What guitarbrand is it that you are using in this video?😊
