Ultimate Beginner Bike Build Timelapse - CRF250F

Ойын-сауық

You all know I love the 2019+ Honda CRF250F, it really is the modern XR. Great for beginners, and with a few modifications even the advanced rider can find enjoyment with its smooth power delivery, low center of gravity and forgiving riding characteristics.
After going too stiff with my suspension setup I found it unenjoyable to ride and spent most of this past summer riding my KTM in the woods. By the end of the season I had convinced myself once again that I needed something bigger and better so the plan was to sell the 250F and buy a KTM500. Having been through the same process with the CRF450RL I thought I might give team orange another try since I really enjoyed the 350. But ultimately my riding style just doesn't suit those bikes and I want to have something that is reliable, plated, and likes to be ridden slow with minimal effort.
I had already made a deal with my buddy Aaron out in Colorado but I ended up getting cold feet and decided to keep the 250F that I had put so much time and effort into. I didn't want to let them down so in a last ditch effort I decided to seek out another bike all together and build it from the ground up in only two weeks time..
In the end I think it worked out best for everyone, Eli got a custom built bike to suit his needs, and I still have mine which I fell back in love with. Thanks to Aaron for being a good friend and wanting to do something special for his awesome son.
Thank you to everybody who was involved with this build:

In Brazil the 250f is a top bike ... the KTMs, Husq, Beta, GasGas are waay too expensive. Here, usualy we start in XR 250, then 230 (2009~2019), and if we have enough money we buy a 250f :D

That was cool I respect that however can you please enlighten me on a few things. It seem like a lot of work both man hours and money, why not just get a 250rx slap some lights in a license plate holder and call it a day. Weight, wise, and performers wise it’s much better than the F. How much total would you say you spend money and then what would your time quantify to dollarwise if you were to add it all up .
