Dude, great to see you back, but you are spewing some massive missinformation about spellshapes. You can only use 1 spellshape on a spell, because it only works if your next action is to cast a valid spell, so if your next action is a spellshape as well, the first one is lost, doesn't matter if it is a free action or not. So you cannot combine Fortissimo Composition and Call and Response.

Class DCs are used by martial characters for their unique save-based mechanics (like the inventor's Explode) and for determining the effectiveness of some critical specializations. Casters were given class DCs in the remaster specifically so they can interact with critical specialization effects, as before it was muddy what would happen if, say, a Caster got a crit with a Brawling attack. The split between Class DC and Spell DC also helps with niche preservation, preventing classes with great CDC progression from being just as good at spells as those with great SDC progression. A Commander gets legendary CDCs, but because of the split will never be able to get legendary SDCs regardless of how much they invest in that Wizard archetype.

Wow, well firstly, welcome back to Pathfinder2e content creation! Secondly, at about 1 hr 1 minute 1:01:00 Uplifting Overture, you describe it as "once your legendary in Occultism ..." when its actually Performance, so its easier for the bard than what you said in the video.

One of my most favored combinations to build a bard: A chatty polymath gnome bard with Animal Elocutionist at lvl 1, Linguist Dedication at lvl 2, Gnome Polyglot at lvl 3 and Spot Translate at lvl 4. Not only does it boost your Society Skill from trained to expert at lvl 2, even with Int +0 you already know 12 languages at lvl 3 and can talk to all animals from lvl 1 (fluent, not only in a rudimentary way like these strange druids. Thanks Remaster!). What starts as a funny flavor can become really handy when e.g. you translate the Command spell of your sorcerer as a reaction. Also mentionable, Analyze Idiolect gives a +4 circumstance bonus for impersonating a specific person (checks AND dc), which stacks with the +4 status bonus of Illusory Disguise. With 12+ languages, you basically know all common languages. So chances are high that you know all languages the person you want to impersonate knows. I love this combination.

This is one of those things that you just have to look at and say, "Yeah, sure!" and keep moving on. I know it's easier said than done but one CAN learn to do it!

Actually, for creature identification Bardic lore should be -2 dc vs using nature/arcana/religion/society. " Lore skills can also be used to identify a specific creature. Using the applicable Lore usually has an easy or very easy DC (before adjusting for rarity)." Bardic lore is a lore, generally since it isn't a specific lore I use the unspecific lore dc (-2) instead of the -5. Archives of Nethys is very helpful by giving an unspecific lore dc for every monster there.

Some mistakes here and there, like with Deep Lore, which grants extra _spells_ rather than spell _slots_ of every rank. Hence, it should also apply to 10th rank spells - you may only have one slot, but now you know three of them! That aside, an incredible in-depth video! Good stuff.

OK, a second comment (still really excited to have you back making Pathfinder 2e content). I had watched your original Bard Deep Dive way back, but it is a lot of information. That isn't a complaint; it is what it is. Having a new Bard video to watch gave me a new opportunity to hear about some of these feats and composition spells. And I found there were some gems that I had missed. One of my (slightly guilty) pleasures is building characters out from level 1 - 20 (always assuming FA rule in effect). I would never consider myself a slave to the build if I was using it in a campaign, but planning things out can help get you what you want when you want it and seeing how or why some other things need to be delayed. So, after the video, I just built out a Halfling Aiuvarin Bard (maestro and polymath muses), taking the Medic and Rogue archetypes early and filling in some later levels with Scroll Trickster. Between the great support a Maestro Bard gets, adding in Versatile Performance from Polymath (letting me not worry about Intimidation and Deception), the extra skill increases from Rogue (which is what I took it for) and adding in Dirge of Doom when I could (level 12, would you believe?), plus a few decent damage spells, this is a character that can make any party better, bring the healing both in and out of combat, and still be fun to play. So glad you are redoing these deep dive videos for the post remaster PF2 world and liking the changes to video structure. Great job!

Bro, Hymn of Healing is soo good though. Sure, it requires sustaining, but put this on your frontliner or anyone who is stuck out of position and getting bullied, you are not only giving them enough Fast Healing over 4 turns to out scale the per Focus Point healing of a Paladin's Lay on Hands, but it also gives them Temporary Hit Points equal to that Fast Healing. If they are getting hit every turn and are using up all of those Temp Hit Points, that's almost like having given them Fast Healing equal to 4 times the Spell Rank. Any time I play Witch or pick up the Dedication for Witch, I pick Lesson of Life for the Life Boost Hex for a very similar reason. Sure, it doesn't give Temp Hit Points, but it still gives the same Fast Healing as seen here, but, in return, it doesn't require sustaining, which means I can actually use other Hexes while Life Boost is ticking, or just do anything else other than sustaining a spell, like, for example, True Strike -> Spell Strike.

idk if someone else has already commented abt this, but at 37:55 w.r.t. True Hypercognition, you can’t continuously attempt Recall Knowledge actions on the same subject “until you succeed,” because once a character attempts an incredibly hard (DC+10) Recall Knowledge check (which would be the fourth attempt after three successes), or fail a Recall Knowledge check, that character “has recalled everything they know about the subject” according to page 54 of the GM Core

WELCOME BACK! It's wonderful to see new content from you! PS: Check Bard feat L18 Deep Lore. I think the extra spells are only adeed to your repetoire and are not extra spells "per day" as you stated. So, you'd have a larger selection but still have the same limited spell slots per day. PPS: It's also worthy to mention that spells souch as Allwgro and Counter Performance are, themselves, composition spells and will likely cancel out a composition spell, such as Courageous Anthem, already in effect. The inherient cost here diminishes the usefulness of these abilities (ie: is it worth giving the barbarian an extra action this round at the expense of EVERYONE losing the effects of Courageous Anthem?)
