So many of you are asking about materials, so I've counted it all for you :) : MATERIAL LIST - BASE: 200 wooden ceiling tiles (flooring downstiars and upstairs) 120 wooden triangle ceiling (flooring downstairs and upstairs) (do try to use foundations when you can) 10 wooden foundations 10 wooden triangle foundations 116 wooden walls 52 wooden sloped roofs 80 wooden triangle sloped roof tiles 6 wooden sloped roof corner tiles 60 stone walls 90 greenhouse walls 32 triangle greenhouse roofs 4 greenhouse roofs 110 railings 10 wooden stairs 32 stone foundation triangles 125 wooden pillars 60 stone pillars 1 wooden ramp 1 stone dinosaur gate 1 stone dinosaur door OPTIONAL DECKING: 70 wooden ceiling 40 wooden triangle ceiling 100 wooden railing I did count this all manually but this should roughly be everything you need for the base itself, this includes the aviary section for your flyers, upstairs floors and walls and the optional decking surrounding the house. I love this build! It looks so lovely to actually live in and use. As a fun note, I found that a toilet with its back clipped into the wall, and a tap over it, makes for a great "sink" and it can also be placed on a table!

For anyone who cares to read this, I have just built this on 1x pve official In the snow, and it's looking absolutely fire, have done the main house part the only thing I am missing is the indi forge chem bench and indi cooker, will then begin to build the whole second part tomorrow, FYI, 1x official is generally the most painful thing known to man 😂🙏

@@LolsAtLance keeping this as authentic it can be, turns out I accidentally did the tribe leader room one too short of the greenhouse roofs, and then I've done the bedrooms exactly the same and have ended up with more room than I should have but have everything in the video 😂 have not done any building today unfortunately, got myself 2 dung beetles, 2 bees and then had today off, starting the grind again tonight 😂 would have not have been possible without a mammoth can confirm and 300 weight does not cut it 😂

HGTV needs to have a show where they show off these kinds of creations in video games. Ark, mine craft, Conan, fallout 4, all games with opportunities for creativity. Great video!

Love it! I built right next to this spot, among the rock formation with the Rockwell #3 note and above brute cave. This side of the map is great and ocean access for pearls, metal and even crystal is fantastic. And snow area and moshpit (high soawn area) are so close and redwoods and swamp are just on the other side of the hill.

Quite a lot of people are requesting a castle! So that might be my next one which might take me a while to design and make but I'm up for the challenge 😆. Can't wait for wyverns to be in the game again!

I started a new playthrough for all the DLC's of ark survival evolved starting with island and ending with genesis. I was looking for a base layout I can change depending on each biome according to the DLC and this is fantastic! Thank you so much, I was looking for something with a centralized industrial forge just like that and it still feels homey and I can change it so freely while keeping the same feeling, thank you

Hey, great Video love it! But if you could consider adding a list of the materials used that would be great. You could just empty your inventory and pick up the Base from the bottom because in ARK ASA you do get everything back into your inventory even the things that lose the support from the foundations below. That way you could just put in the items from you Inventory and create a list. Keep it going man!

This looks awesome! It’ll take me a while to build since I don’t have the god mode. 😅 but I’ve got it started and I was thinking the same for the garage with the Dino gate. Lots of crystal to go farm later! Which is a lot further than where I am. Thank goodness for the Argie!

Started building this yesterday. Didn't think to look an see if there was a material list and just now 😂 going to save me some. Game updated yesterday and bugged out all the stuff I had stuck in the air above a river by the redwoods and I was on herbivore Island 🤣

When you are building in 'Creative Mode' you can click 'G' and you will automatically destroy structures. Way faster ❤

Just got finished making this on official pve. Made it mostly out of adobe since I'm playing on scorched earth. Had to change a few details and improvise since ceiling meshing isn't possible on official anymore. But all in all, i really enjoyed the build and love living in this beautiful house.

@@LolsAtLanceYes they can't collide. Although i was able to pull it off with some hot fixes to the floor. And since im playing on scorched, i put an ac unit in every room. Also extended the flying mount area so a wyvern could also fit. And with the bob's tall tales dlc, i reskinned the entire build with the frontier structure skin and added the new lights that are actually really useful since they work off electricity and not only fuel. I put chandeliers, wall oil lamps, lamp post and the regular oil lamps everywhere.

This build is awesome

A thing I came up with to make overhanging roofs less wide, is to snap them to a quarter wall tile. That way the roofs overhang just a bit. Depending on how you do it you could also make the roof overhang just a bit on all sides. So far with my build I was able to get it only to work on one side.

It’s very fiddly but it does work also one I’ve used on my build (only used with tek so far) use tek pillars around my door frames window frames and roof then when you colour them do 2 and 5 and it really makes your base stand out

Love your builds man. Would be fun to see you build endgame base. You see alot of people making starter builds, not to much endgame 😋

But i was like thinking a nice big base, strategically placed according to resources and stuff with all the things you need crafting wise. Greenhouse, forge, taming pen, idk. Might be much to do, but yea. Love your builds, and the fact you just roll with it and make it up as you go. 😋

I love it.

I made this base and I love it! The only thing I did differently was put the Dino gate you have on the workshop side on your base, over on the Dino garage side of mine. That being said the roof is uneven so IF YOU DO THIS you will need to add an extra row on foundations for the flooring so that the roof evens out with the rest of that side of the base!

I am currently doing my own take on this build, getting a sunken floor is a real PITA. So much so that I chose not to do it, it is a cool concept to have the forge dropped down but I realized while trying to place it I would have to pick up all my foundations and build them physically higher than I already did cause my placement wasn't bang on where yours is and a small hill was interfering with it.

Ahh damn really sorry that this didnt work for you, I should have said in the video to people to start by building up higher using the pillars, so you can easily drop down maybe using all ceilings rather than foundations. It's my bad really. I'm glad you were still able to make it just without the middle drop down! Still will look awesome XD If you get stuck on anything dont hesitate to ask as I'm happy to help!

good ideas. can even add like a windmill next to the base using the railings for the fan. a birdcage as well. some will be subbing to see more builds.. also thought of creating my house design I did in AutoCAD for class after seeing this. been thinking of the wookie treehouses can probably be made as well.

@@LolsAtLance it was class in high school. I had to drop it to take 2 and half courses of english in 12th grade lol. But i wanted to be an architect or graphic designer. You can do a stationary windwill using the railings to look like fans. Similar how you can do water reservoirs ontop of a house and hopefully clip a chimney inside the house into the reservoirs. When you turn on the chimney the smoke comes out of the reservoirs.

Hey there! Thanks glad you liked it 😆 right at the beginning? I literally just put a pillar in the ground and then I placed a ceiling ontop, from there you can start to make your way round to do the entire circle... is that what you mean?

Very cool build mate. I'll be using it to design my latest build. One thing I would say though is turn off your light blooms/shafts when recording. The glare makes it hard to see things clearly when you're doing the tour through. Just a thought for the future.

Great tutorial, I’m currently about 80% done on PVE 5288. Once you get the foundations laid out it’s pretty straight forward only referenced the vid a couple times. However I have encountered snapping problems when building the surrounding deck, specifically when building around the back window of round crafting area connecting to the glass hallway. I can’t join the decks from the garage to the crafting area as shown in the video

For others who are reading you can play with it and get the deck as flush as possible, keep your gaps against the walls of the house so you can make storage box piles to hide the holes in floor. Looks friggen amazing tho many people on server stopping as they pass by

Yeah you'll need to have some temporary structures or stairs to help you 😆, a flyer or dinos help, I often build while mounted on my therizinosaur, helps me build higher, or a taperjara is amazing for helping building!

Hi Lance. I love the All-in-One Clifftop Base. I'm in the middle of the build and I could use a little help. I have trouble finding the correct triangle roof to seamlessly fit the towers to the other roof. can you help at all?

Hey no problem at all, if you find the triangle roof, you need to craft that, then when you select it, you'll have the option to switch between that standard triangle roof, and the roof corner 😁 hope this helps!

@@LolsAtLance Definitely! I actually got XD first since I got the gamecube bundle with it for christmas (a thousand years ago because I'm old augh) and I will say, it's definitely better enjoyed as a sequel so you can see how places change over time! And also: the Mirror B theme is better in XD.

Oh man that sucks, I used to play evolved on Xbox as well! don't let that put you off :( it's honestly not even that stable on PC so it's a good think theyre holding back until its really ready to be put live to avoid bugs, crashes and dissapointment

There's a pretty cool mod that makes it so that the HUGE industrial forge is only the size of one foundation and only one wall height tall. There's another one that pulls ressources out of dino's inventories and directly into the forge. No longer need to make HUGE bases just to fit in equipment.

No worries at all! Do you mean the triangle roofs? Have you tried cycling through the snap points?(on xbox controller tap RB, on keyboard I think it's Y) It would be easier to see a screenshot, if you pop on my discord server and share a screenshot on there I can help better XD

I am curious regarding one thing... specifically the greenhouse portion. Is there a reason to include Plant Species X in an indoor greenhouse? As far as I know, they're used for base defense as living turrets. Is there some other purpose for them that I'm missing?

Purely aesthetic reasons, that plus when I log off and log into my world they seem to stay there, where as the other plants get bugged and I have to replant them all which is a pain when I'm recording 😂.. but yeah, for survival definitely mainly outside 😆
