It was nice to see that for a change you actually DID put max crew on some of your ships - as I had suggested repeatedly. And you promptly saw the benefits of it: Spare manpower when you needed it. Now imagine that excess manpower aboard a ship of the line armed with carronades galore. Not only can it take a beating, but it can also dish out in kind and capture what is left. On a side note, I for one don't mind longer videos at all. Keep it up.

Its a big improvement in landbattles already, but still a little bit (just a little) of missunderstanding of the troops. The fussiliers are your ship of the line (main forces, in the middle) The marines an 4. grade fregatte (second main forces, on the side or behind the fussiliers, to protect the fussiliers, fill gaps in the main line, flank the enemy, also good to board ships in sea battles) The sailors an 6. grade fregatte (protect the flanks, scare off the skirmisher) And the skirmisher an unrated sloop (scout, distract the enemy, good against artillery, loose formation and high consealment bonus) In sea battles, if there is an opportunity, let the enemy ram you square (their bow into your side), they will loose a mast. Also you dont have to worry about repair kits or armour upgrades for your ships, weight and speed upgrades are far more important in this campaign, the Barbarys have mainly small fast ships (on the british campaign its another story). You can also tell your supplie groups to only supplie infantrie or only cannons, that can sometimes be usefull. Going into the town was a little bit like poking a hornets nest. The mission was to capture siege south and west, so you dont have to fight in the town

@@gingewonka I like it more if they learn, improve and succeed, instead of fail intendedly, like some KSP youtuber do. The first time they forget genuinly the parachute, its funny, but if they forget them everytime because they rush through the build phase, it becomes borring and frustrating very quickly. There is no progress, only rescue mission for the rescue mission for the rescue mission. Even if failing is part of the gameplay, it doesnt mean you have to fail or make the same mistake again and again. Armchairish would be if i tell him how he has to play, like you have to choose this unit type, go to point A, B, C, send the ships around the town, drop off this and this unit, ect. Not explaining how the game works.

I like long videos, even 1h+ , so keep it coming. It’s one of the main features of “Video on demand”, that you can pause a video and continue later, if required. Excessive cutting or stress to keep in time can ruin a video way more likely than video length on its own.

Each captured asset is a double blow to the enemy compared to a destroyed asset.

Wish there were galleons, carracks, caravels, and the early age of sail warship.

I don’t know tons about the KZread mechanics, but I tend to watch most vids over 30minutes in bursts when I have time. Perhaps releasing this in 2-3 segments over the course of one day (say 10 am, 2pm, 6pm your time) would help viewership/stats? You’re already recording it, so all you would have to do is put in cuts in post (harder than it sounds but still. I’d still prefer a battle like this all released in one day, but over a few hours might make it more manageable? Anyway, Loving the series.

I would truly recommend charging more, you take to take much more advantage of your numbers and save ammo if you have unit of only 30 compared to your 300 or 280 should destroy them quickly and continue on

Your troops would be a lot more effective if you got them closer before firing. You can see their range when you select them. The enemy needs to be within that arc

Thanks. I love the subject matter. It seems to play a lot like Empire Total War. No formation grouping options? Sorry to see the AI is so bad. It sent its troops forward piecemeal to the slaughter.

Can someone explain to me the ships and what each of their titles mean.

What exactly do you mean with "titles"? USS Constitution, USS Unitet States, ect. are just names. 1st- 6th Rate are the size of the ships, 1st rate the largest, 3 or 4 decks full of cannons, 6th rate the smallest rated ship with only on gun deck and around 30 canons. Sloop, Fregatte, Brig, ect. size of the ship in combination with how many masts, wich kind of sails and how the sails are set up. To explain everything would fill pages. For starters search on Wikipedia for "Rating system of the Royal Navy" from there you can continiue with the different types of ships
