Otherwise aap Ladakh bas Leh tak ja sakte ho aur Srinagar Leh and Manali Leh highways cover kar sakte ho bas.. baaki aap Zanskar Valley bhi ja sakte ho

Not that I know. Only petrol pump on that route will be Diskit outside of Leh

So in return we are supposed to give it back at jammu only. How many minimum days will be required and any special tips or suggestions?

It is a bit bad these days and more like a off road.. however can be done on RE Himalayan.. just go with off road expectations

Dheeraj Bhai, really nice video information. Especially for those travelling by AIR. My question is that whether we have noticed that road clearance time has been shifting a bit earlier year on year? Is it right or wrong? In common, people have started travelling by road via Manali by first week of May now which was not possible around five years back.

Yes bhai the roads get clear early for last couple of years from the usual pattern.. Srinagar Leh usually is open in April for tourists but Manali Leh still takes until May first week to second week to open

Bhai I have covered Hanle breifly as additional days in the previous video. I will make a dedicated video on it soon. Now aap agar Pangong to Tso Moriri jaate hue sir Hanle visit karna chahte hain to main recommend nahin karunga because bahut jyada lamba raasta ho jaayega.. Kam se kam 110 km add karne ki baat kar rahe ho aap aur karreeban 3 hrs extra plus Hanle mein thoda time.. so total drive aapki bahut lambi ho jaayegi aur aap bas Hanle ko touch karoge aur wapis aajaoge

First thing, do not miss the stay of rest day at Leh, you must spend two nights in Leh before going to Nubra. And well regarding Turtuk, it is beautiful place so if you can add an extra day then yes it will be worth it

Hey Dheeraj, I read your blog on the "new Manali to Leh route via Zanskar - Shinkula Pass". Had a few questions aruond it since the article looks 1.5 years old. My questions are specifically about the Padum-Zangla- Leh portion as google map does not show this properly. 1. Is this road viable for taking an SUV like XUV 500 or TUV. 2. We are planning for April this year. Will the passes along this route be open by then or is it an all weather route? Would be great if you can help with this.

As far as I know, No special permit needed. Hemis is more like a trek if you want to do. There are different trekking routes in it and depends on which one you are interested in.

Here is what you can do: 5: Srinagar to Kargil 6: Kargil to Leh 7: Leh rest day and acclimatize 8: Leh to Nubra Valley 9: Nubra to Pangong Lake 10: Pangong Lake to Leh, cover monasteries on the way back (Hemis, Thiksey, Shey) 11: Leh to Jispa (avoid Sarchu night stay in October) 12: Jispa to Manali or Delhi even if you can strecth a bit

if you are open to search a bit upon reaching these places and also OK with staying at basic homestays/guesthouses then you can find them on the spot as well. It will need some search but you should find these. If you want to stay at hotels or have specific hotels in mind, then better book in advance because June is a very crazy time of tourist rush in Ladakh and most hotels/campsites are sold out.

Vaishali, it depends on the time of the year you are planning. In the early days of Manali Leh being open, for safety of tourists they restrict the movement at Upshi (Leh side) or Darcha (Manali side). But once the highway is safe generally from mid June onwards, these time restrictions go away.

Since 2021 end of season, Indian do not need any permit anymore in Ladakh for regular sightseeing. You just need to pay the Ladakh Environment Fee on the website and carry the receipt of it. Here is the link where you need to pay it: www.lahdclehpermit.in/ Current Ladakh environment fees are broken down as following: 1. Environment Fee = Rs 400 one time 2. Wildlife Fee/Something = Rs 20 per day 3. Red Cross Fee = Rs 50 one time but Optional, you don’t need to pay if you don’t want to. DO NOT confuse environment fee receipt with permit. You just need to carry this fee receipt, hard copy or soft copy. This receipt will be checked at various checkposts. Hence, people are confusing it with permit but this is just verification that you have paid the fees.

Sir myself and my son are planning 12 days trip to laddakh by Srinagar and returning from lah Manali by road to Delhi. We are reaching Srinagar by flight. How to plan our trip sir. Please help.

Amar bhai, May end will be OK time to travel. The roads will be open but since it is start of season, it will be challenging a bit.
