Yep. First two villages were burned by bandits. Second village was doing fine until I missed a harvesting season and the starving happened. Third one was taken by the Baron. No full successes yet. Great game. 10/10.

Hey man, putting more people in the Granary alone doesn't completely fix that issue of getting 100% food coverage in a larger town. You will also need a second Granary at the end of the street. The reason isn't necessarily that your market is too far away but that they have to walk all the way to the Granary, then to market, then back to their house to fetch water. Also, if you separate each Granary with different types of food under advanced: Say you store only berries and meat in one, and other foods in the other one. The Granary workers will more easily and more quickly be able to distribute the food throughout the town.

Tip: Whenever you see the message: "Another Baron's army has been seen on the map". Check out where they are headed. What they do every single time they show up is move around to each territory by eliminating the bandit camps, and then they claim it. If you can get your army there before them, you can kill the bandit camp, take the money and influence home, send your boys back home. Then the Baron's army will go home and not claim the area. It will buy you more time and "influence", then you can claim a new territory yourself before they have time to.. I tested it today and it works. If you make good money trading, you should be able to claim 2 or 3 areas before they have the rest of the map. Then build a small Basecamp on your new area and begin harvesting and trading materials between your two territories. Then build a second manor on the new area so you gain a larger retinue force.

@@Sledgehammer1944 wow, really solid tips! I'll give it a go, thanks brother, appreciate you
My tips so far - Wood, wood is the best and earliest resource you can get to help you start your economy with trading. Make sure you have multiple wood goods, because the trading prices goes up and down depending how much you flood the market Apples, bugged at the moment, dont bother wasting skill points on this, betrer to just trade it for now Rich iron mines, best starter so far, fasts tracks your economy. Get the unlimited veins upgrade as soon as possible, delete your first mine, and place 2-3 mines on top of the iron ore vein. Multiple mines work on that one rich unlimited iron ore vein. Put your bloomary next to the mines and pump out those iron plates. Make weapons, sell at the market and have unlimited coins. Market places, do not make one large market place, but multiple ones around your living areas. Travel times matter here. Sheep, wool and another trade item as soon as you get the birth rate of sheep going. Armies, max out your milita BEFORE hiring mercenary, if you recruit the mercs first, you close up 2 extra milita spaces that you can add to your army. Hiring after gives you a slightly bigger amry, helps deal with anything the ai throws at you easily. Farms, if you really want this start, small first, then scale up. This is early access, so take my tips with a grain of salt.
@BiglerSakura

Square area of an iron ore deposit is about that of a mine which can cover it completely if placed right upon it. So, you recommend to place multiple mines, each just partially on the deposit area? Probably, this only makes sense to do with deep mines on a rich deposit, correct?

Good tips, the only one I disagree with is the market one. You only need markets to be close to granary/storehouses, not to the living areas. They will automatically supply houses even if they are far away as long as the market itself is supplied. They dont deliver to the houses and the people in the houses dont need to go there.
@Flesson19
29 күн бұрын
@@phineasgage8252 I thought I said that right, not close to houses as I originally thought. Did I say it wrong?
I just learned that distance from house to market is not the issue that people don't get food. It's because the market stalls couldn't refill food quick enough so the closest house always get food and left none for further houses. Put your market next to granary and make sure only people in the granary are the one who has stalls at the market. You only need market at one location.
There's one thing I complain about the game is that you cannot effectively supply or aid your newly claim region with your current healthy one. I know there is the "Pack station" or something but you still have to trade goods, but the new region might not have anything at all to offer in return and the exchange rate is very slow, it almost feels like starting from the beginning. Not to mention the game is very micro-management and it keeps getting harder to manage the more regions you have. They should add some features to help the players with this, for example, a "Steward" to help us manage the town that is already developed.

From my observation, it seems like not every assigned person to a granary/store house uses a cart for 10 goods and the others still only use their hands, carrying way less. Which is a bit annoying, I don't know if it is intended.

You can relocate a firewood stall pick it up and drag it near the home far away since you'll have multiple firewood stalls. also check and see if that firewood stall is labeled abandoned sometimes they will do that maybe because that person died in war or what idno usually i just destroy the marketplace every 6 months and rebuild instead of micromangage.

Yesterday I played a relaxing game and wanted to conquer them all you can choose that at the start, there where some bandits and they stole somethings. Didn't take care of them. Thought my militia wouldn't overrun them. I expended anyway. over 500 people living in my town. At that time no more bandits would apear and the baron claimed all other teritory. I had only 850 powerpoints or whatever they call it to get it that way. The game neads more ways to get those points even when you choose relaxing while you've choosen to get alll areas. So take care of those bandits and the baron earley. Just have to find out when exactly.

08:01 trade posts on Kings Roads. What he says in this video isn't actually true. Your street needs just to be connected to a King's Road and traders will come by. since i play the game i never had the trade post directly on a King's Road and the traders came surely to sell there stuff meaning for my imports. So all you need is a connection to a King's Road. But you can set up your Trade Post even in the middle of your city.

How exactly does the King's Road mechanic work? When I just built a Trade Post, I got a warning of not being connected to the King's Rd, but it disappeared after I established a trade route. I would suppose that a trade route for a particular type of goods brings dedicated merchants to your Trade Post regardless if it's connected to the King's Rd or not. But there are "Major Trade" goods that require a trade route anyway, and "Minor Trade" goods that you can start trading without establishing a route. So, I would again suppose that if your Post is on King's Road, the "Minor Trade" goods will be traded even without a route, but if it's off the Road, you'll need to establish trade routes even for "Minor Trade" goods to have merchants come in for them. Are my suppositions correct?
@Flesson19

If your on the kings road, then wandering traders can go by and buy and sell goods your interested in, also I think its cheaper to buy some trade routes. When off the kings road, no one will trade, only getting a trade route will get you anything

Hi guys, I have been playing this for 4 days and I love it. I am not so interested in the fighting aspect so play the "Prosperity" questline. In my third game I built up my settlement into a large town with a manor so decided to expand my territory. However I couldn't place a camp in my newly aquired land. I watched a couple of KZread videos to see what I was doing wrong but apparently I was doing everything correctly it just wasn't working.
