Ulster GAA, Ulster Rugby & Irish FA - Schools Road Show

Спорт

Ulster GAA in partnership with Ulster Rugby and The Irish Football Association, have completed a round of school roadshows with 9️⃣ schools involved, focusing on volunteering in sport 🏐🥎⚽🏉
The two-hour programme brings together three schools from one geographical area and aimed at A-Level PE students, giving an opportunity for young people interested in a career pathway in sport to explore how volunteering can help with personal development by developing their skills, knowledge and confidence.
The programme discusses how volunteering in sport may give young people skills and hands on opportunities to get involved and enhance their career or further education prospects. Mock interviews with the young people were held to illustrate how volunteering can benefit you when interviewing for a job or university application. The young people also got an opportunity to participate in a 'Game of Three Halves' where they could experience playing the three sports - Gaelic games, rugby and football.
These roadshows are part of the Department for Communities project 'Sport: A Home for Lifelong Volunteering' in partnership with Ulster GAA, Ulster Rugby and the Irish FA.
