Ukrainian Soldiers reunite with families in Kherson in heartfelt moments
Ukrainian soldiers hugged members of their family as they returned to Kherson in footage posted by a military unit on Sunday, November 13.
The soldiers, part of the “Khimera” subdivision of the 126th Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, based in Odessa, are seen knocking on the doors and greeting family members in the street in Kherson.
“Several fighters of the unit are originally from Kherson, their relatives did not want to leave the city since the beginning of the war and then they could not,” the unit wrote on Instagram.
“Parents didn’t know that their sons were coming as there has been no communication recently. And here’s the long-awaited reunion,” the unit wrote.
Russia confirmed the withdrawal of its armed forces from the region on Friday, November 11.
The Russian withdrawal came just under two months since the Kremlin claimed Kherson Oblast as a Russian territory following internationally condemned referendums in occupied Ukrainian territories.

Oh yes they get releived to see their sons grandsons. Their prayers every day and night makes them more faithful to God every single min of their days . I cried too because it is more harder for them to against Russia powerful and bigger country. This is not like America help other countries or catching 911 terror attack terrorist or Islam sunni and Shia religion conflict war. This is small country Ukraine against bigger country and powerful country invasion that already killed 20,000 children's or elderly peoples or normal Ukrainian civilians.

My son fought in the 2nd Iraqi war. He came home safe, sound, and in one piece on Mother's Day. I have not needed another Mother's Day present since then. I am crying for joy with these mothers.
