There is something really sad about seeing young men limp and put on tourniquets in this useless conflict.. They should just go home. It's not deserting as it isn't a war (officially).

I agree...However, I look at like this. Imagine if they weren't fighting back, the atrocities against civilians in Ukraine would be 10 fold what they are already. I do feel bad for them, and the idiots who sent them to endure this for their own personal and financial gratification they hoped to get?

They had a choice to refuse to go to this war. For saying "no" to the deployment order, you get fired from the military with the loss of benefits. That's it. There are no other big consequences, no prison sentence, no nothing. You take the next job and carry on with your life. They wanted the salary, job security, early retirement, and the military pension. They knew the risks of entering the military. IT IS THEIR CHOICE. Their families will now hopefully get about $80k compensation (if they are officially counted as casualties and not simply rot in the field). Maybe this is how you sell your life.

@@goldeagle8051 All words. No one has been sentenced for refusing to fight. Since this is not legally a "war", there is no legal responsibility for refusing to participate in it. You get screamed at, you likely get discharged dishonourably, that's it. Entire battalions refused the initial deployment or re-deployment after a rest. Mind you, Putin CAN amend any law (takes a couple days through his sockpuppet parliament). But he is mindful of the dispopularity of forcing hard even the professional military to fight, let alone the general population.

Leaving own dudes behind... tells everything about the morale.

I think they brought the car around and picked him up; you can see the pile of boxes he was sitting next to, near the driver's side. He seemed to be the one who jumped in the front passenger seat, to finally have his misery ended.

At 00:30 you can see the dog starts running before the soldiers, it heard the bomb dropping before the humans did.

It's always the split second spiral of events that gets me. If the driver didn't reverse the very instant he did the explosive would have hit the roof and there might be a small chance of survival. But instead, he reversed at the exact precise moment that would guarantee the maximum damage from an attack he could never anticipate. Wild.

I read somewhere else some of them are regular hand grenades in a 3D printed casing with fins for stabilisation and a "mechanism" to break them open to release the grenade.

That's the driver, his foot must have been on the pedal. Car almost stops immediately after he is out of the vehicle, in a longer video the driver can be seen having death convulsions.

If you look closely you can see the vehicle backs up at just the right/wrong moment. It still would have hit the vehicle regardless.

It's quite sad to see men who were brought up in a country thinking that they have no choice but to follow orders, and yet we see them getting hurt or worse, killed. We are all lucky to have the freedom to even discuss this matter or just simply to type these comments within the comforts of our homes.

Honestly it looks like a dude is shoving a woman and child(the small discolored thing between the man and woman that seems to get in the car before the woman) into a car and then the previously mentioned discolored thing is hanging out the windshield after the grenade goes off. I am more than likely wrong, and I'm not saying that's exactly what it is. I'm just saying that it appears that way if you watch it very closely.
