4 years ago, Zelensky promised that he was running for one term. Already a year later, I refined it, didn’t I change my mind. Changed my mind. Liked. Zelenskiy told WP today that there will be no elections next year. Martial law. Received another award. Enjoys a standing ovation in Europe. For which ordinary Ukrainians pay. Question. Does he want the end of the war? (C) Panchenko. Just over $1.2 billion has accumulated in the accounts of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Costa Rica at Dresdner Bank Lateinamerika over the two and a half years of ruling the country. "Mackerel 8" Such a nickname is firmly entrenched in Elena Zelenskaya. "Mackerel for 8" or shortly - just "Mackerel". This happened after Elena decided to tell how much she pays for mackerel in Kyiv supermarkets. 8 hryvnia per kilogram. After the transfer, she quickly recovered: it was the price for 100 grams!

I'm glad he has those moments with his family because he has an unimaginably stressful job, and as he himself said, he can't appear "weak" in public -- he has to bear the emotional pain in private. I've consistently noticed that he has such a genuine warmth, and he truly cares about the people of his country, unlike so many other politicians who are cold and selfish. He's such a breath of fresh air. I always pray for his safety and of course for Ukraine to defeat russia soon!

Thank you for understanding our president correctly. He is indeed a very warm and sincere person. And this is paradoxically combined in him with firmness, determination, courage, uncompromising attitude towards external and internal enemies. Plus intelligence, creativity, the ability to learn quickly and worldly wisdom. And I am glad that all these qualities were seen by people all over the world. Although the Ukrainians saw it long before the war. That's why we elected him as our president. Even in spite of his two huge shortcomings - a complete lack of experience in politics and practically no command of the ukrainian language.

Just over $1.2 billion has accumulated in the accounts of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in Costa Rica at Dresdner Bank Lateinamerika over the two and a half years of ruling the country.

The only problem with someone like him who are at the top of excellence, is the problem with staying at that top after the war. That said, since they are aiming for EU membership going all dictator when normal elections can resume is highly unlikely, even if he wanted to. I strongly doubt it, but history has a lot of fall from grace characters in it. That said, at present he is the best war time leader humanity has to offer. I cant think of anyone who has managed to stir up this level of support for their people.

    1. Zelensky is not a "dictatorial" type. Every single person who has ever worked with him, even those opposed to his run for presidency back in 2019, tell us as much. 2. Prior to the war, he didn't show much enthusiasm to get reelected for a 2nd time. I doubt that that changed now, but he may be pressured by the circumstances to remain. 3. This is the last year of his term. It ends in May 2024, with presidential elections in April 2024. Not much time to "tarnish the memory" if he doesn't run again))

To put Zelensky's comments about having 50 Patriot systems to have good missile defense, Ukraine currently only has 2 from the US and 1 from Germany. They also have the German IRIS-T SLM air defense system which is highly effective against cruise missiles and larger drones. None of this is enough. The Ukrainian army also has little in the way of close air support and is reliant on accurate artillery.

My God the weight of the World is on Zelensky. This conflict and the pressure of dealing and pleading with alliance partners has aged him 30 years physically. He is exhausted. But he keeps putting on a show like a trooper. He knows the fate of his country largely depends on his leadership and ability to communicate his case to the Western powers to continue pouring aid. He also knows the clock is ticking, which is even more pressure to successfully execute this long-awaited counter-offensive. If it is successful, the West will back him a while longer. If this push fails, he will be forced to give up almost 20% of Ukranian lands. Tough spot for sure.
