@dk240996 the fact that you criticize Theresa means you know about her. She is famous enough so that everyone can recognize the allusion. Would you feel better if they sang "st.Theresa of Lisieux" instead? Would you even recognize her? I don't think so. Maybe there are a few other super popular saints, but no one that would be that widespread in both church and lay circles, and still fresh in memory, in my opinion. The allusion doesn't glorify her, it says that anyone can become great if they try. The overall lyrics are the whole other story about women, expectations put on them, about knowing that there are better days coming, etc. There isn't anything religious apart from the allusion

People in Ukraine: -Omg, stop putting folk music everywhere, its embarrassing. People in the rest of Europe: -we want Ukranian song to have Ukranian folk tunes😂

I absolutely adore how Ukrainians can make their folk music sounds fresh and modern. Here in Poland wet don't exactly know how to do it well, but Ukrainians are creating a total new sound out of it, so please don't stop

The televoting results are AMAZING - 61.97%, 723,297 votes, which is 7 TIMES MORE than 2nd place YAKTAK (9.19% 107,227 votes). In addition, I want to say that Jerry Heil, and many of the other Vidbir contestants, had a problem with their headphones, which can be seen right from the beginning of the performance that Jerry took off her headphone and sang with only one. And she was showing her earpiece, which means she was giving a sign that she couldn't hear herself. Additionally, during Alyona's rap, Jerry went to the back to correct the earpiece. It was a solid national final for sure and almost all the songs (there's a couple in there that weren't great lol) would've held their own in Eurovision. But this one is magic and I'm so glad it won Vidbir. I think Fairytale and Cha Cha Cha also landslided the televote in their national finals in a similar way too which imo says ALOT. I'm not gonna say it's winning yet because it's still too early but I think it'll safely be in the top 5.

Hello Guys! Thank you for your GREAT job, your reaction is always true and sincere. This song is about women who brought kindness for human. But for me this song is about Ukrainian women and their children who left Ukraine. There are the words "on your shoulders is little child" and " your way will be not easy, you'll feel scary, darkness" in this song. It's quite an interesting eresting interpretation. But there is no such a line as “on her shoulders is a little child “ if you refer to “На своїх плечах ще мале дівча Несе з болю чан і вбача, що то вада є”. In my opinion, it's more about how women from childhood experience inequality and are criticized by society for not fulfilling expectations
