UK's Conservative Party suffers big defeat in polls after 14-years in power. Here's what went wrong
The tides have turned in Britain with the Conservative Party conceding defeat after 14-years of governance owing to a slew of missteps, miscalculations and scandals. The first domino fell when former UK PM David Cameron sought the 2016 referendum on Brexit, say experts, and the tenures of the four who succeeded him - Theresa May, Boris Johnson, Liz Truss and Rishi Sunak - eroded the party's reputation as one of disciple and smooth organisational machinery. Pia Krishnankutty explains

14 YEARS IN FIRST OFFICE BY SINGLE PARTIE ,WITH MOST OF TIME ROLLERCOASTER SITUATIONS to select partie leading leader for country leadership.this Results produce by confused voters almost for one decade.
Keir stammer has a lot on his plate to handle. Patchy education system, regional divergences, poor public services apart from deep rooted social and ethnic fault lines.
I'd hardly call Farage far-right more like slightly right of centre.

Now i understand why Mc Kinsey london the worlds no 1 strategy consultant said I should search for life and then join them poor strategic thinking by the conservatives more low level thinking
Not only UK conservatives, but in all countries, in all the countries labour parties will win all the elections in coming elections.
nothing wrong .after 14yrs people changed the govt .😊😊😊😊😊😊
You are going too fast
That was fast but clear. Gr8 summary. On the FTA, the contention on mobility agreement might see a bit of easing under labour but there could be possibility of introduction of some climate friendly provisions which could turn out to be further hurdles.

But why some BJP supporters are upset about this loss?

The Tories are seen as more "Right wing" by BJP supports. Labor is seen more "Socialist" so they like the Nehru and Gandhi parties in India.

What caste does Kier Starmer belong to?

Working caste...

There aren't castes in the UK - there are 'classes' which are meant to represent your background (Starmer comes from a working class background), however British people believe in high social mobility and the UK is a meritocracy. As the saying goes, 'it's not about where you're from, but where you're going'. The Labour Party traditionally aligns with working class values, whereas the Tories align with middle class and upper class values - however, for the most part people don't vote along class lines (many middle class people vote for labour, at the previous election many working class people voted Tory, etc. etc.). Class is also not perceived to be a barrier to getting a first rate education anymore either - for example, Kier Starmer went to the University of Oxford. He also received a knighthood from Queen Elizabeth II for his work leading the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS), so his official title is Sir Kier Starmer. The majority of his cabinet were state educated, including his Chancellor Rachael Reeves, who also went to the University of Oxford.
