Britain's Prince of Wales broke off his traditional Scottish summer holiday for the second time this week to pose with his sons, Princes William and Harry beside a waterfall.
Aides deny it was an attempt to deflect attention from the media frenzy over his ex-wife, Princess Diana's romance with millionaire Egyptian playboy Dodi Al Fayed.
They say he just wanted to allow the media to get their photos, before leaving the family alone for the remainder of their holiday.
Prince Charles and his sons, Princes William and Harry appeared at the top of a waterfall for the second photocall of the week.
It has been the first time Charles has appeared for a formal photocall at Balmoral since he and Diana did so shortly after their marriage in 1981.
The prince's press secretary declared the experiment a success, but stressed that Charles was not embarking "on a charm offensive".
She said the intention of the photo call was to ensure that Charles and his two sons could enjoy a holiday together in privacy.
Charles hopes that by agreeing to the two photocalls, he could persuade photographers to leave the Royal party alone for the rest of their break, rather than try to follow their every move across the vast Balmoral estate.
The photocall comes amidst increased speculation about the relationship Charles's ex- wife, Diana Princess of Wales is having with Dodi Al Fayed - the multi-millionaire son of the Egyptian owner of England's most famous department store, Harrods.
