The unmarked x5 police car is getting a police escort from the x5 marked police cars

3:18 look at the rear reg plate ..... solid blue light 3:22 for the speed cameras, so they know the car has police contol permission to speed to a shout. Else it be paperwork search to find permission who was the driver and why speeding. Digital cameras may not pick up the strobing blue lights, hence solid one.

The static blue light that is on most modern vehicles, is actually to make it easier for the administration at the various stations to find out if the vehicles are responding to emergency calls when they trigger a speed camera. If this light is illuminated it means the vehicle was on emergency response!

Rear reds are for when stationary/slow moving. Some drivers will stick then on when responding or when the last vehicle in a convoy.

From what l can gather, ambulances use a set route to hospital, whilst police might use local knowledge and if leading might go the wrong route, l use to be in the job myself, and if we didn’t know the route to the hospital, we would follow them,

@@g1egzambulances have automatic mapping. We can always find hospitals because our computers map a route for us. If police are escorting it is because the person in the ambulance has been arrested, or involved in a serious incident where the police need to maintain the chain of evidence or guard them.

Holy crap ARV drivers are nuts. Awesome skill though.
