Yeah lol I visited the UK England in 2012 for very first time and McDonald’s tasted more or less the same except that big mag is much bigger and better here in America. Also in USA we can refill our sodas as much as we want, also coke and sprite taste better in America but I find Fanta to taste better in the UK. But burgers tasted almost the same to me expect for Big Mac.

To be fair, he never said he was doing an exact comparison. Was pretty clear he was testing the popular items and comparing what they make best. 🙄 That’s actually the fairest way considering our differences in food guidelines. Like the chips, you can’t compare them because they’re essentially a different product. We make ours vegan, the US don’t, so comparing them isn’t really that relevant to everyone.

In the UK our food standards are far more strict than the US. So our foods have far far far less sugar, salt and fat than the US foods have (sometimes 1/4 of what the US has). For example Subway's bread is legally classed as "cake" in the UK and Republic of Ireland due to it's high sugar content

Our food also has much fewer artificial ingredients. Take fries for instance. Ours has 3 or 4. Potatoes, salt, oil and then theirs have over 10 which mostly consists of artificial flavourings etc. That goes for all their products.

As a British Mcdonalds worker i can a lot of our serving times take longer purely because we actually clean machines after every run through and don’t rush anything. We also actually care to separately cook everything to avoid two different patties (i.e Quarter Pounder and Cheeseburger) from sort of merging taste etc

Quite a bit of our maccies in the UK are crammed onto our high streets and stuff or are like the drive thrus you see in the US, food usually takes longer because they have small and compact kitchens

I literally just went a few days ago, it’s fucking huge. 3 floors, a play place, an arcade, and yes, they do serve pizza. He definitely should try it.

Also because Europe is a logistical dream: it’s minuscule. You can put a food factory anywhere and be able to deliver the food easily and with barely any transport time. The US is massive and only a single country, you need time to transport food

I used to work at maccas and never use the machines. I used to use them to avoid people but they actually charge you more. Just go talk to us, and order. You save money and we don't get bored

american maccies may have screaming children but british maccies has screaming adults

10 out of 10 times I would rather wait longer for my food to be fresh then get it quickly because it’s been sitting under a heat lamp for hours..
