There is something seriously wrong with the dynamic between mother, sons and new partner. Sons have NO respect for Mum (I suspect for choosing new partner over them), Mum is a conflict avoider and feeling guilty about leaving her 'babies' so has given them free run of 'her' house (their home) and the new partner only wants a relationship with Mum - not interested in the boys. Red flag! Mum uses the excuse they have 'nowhere to go' to martyr herself to their behaviour. That house will be a tip again in 6 months. Rinse and repeat. The psychiatrist is in! 5 cents please.

She's not as hygienic as she thinks she is.

My Grandma cleaned incessantly. Every night after supper, she would get down on her hands knees and scrub the kitchen floor. Often she would go outside and sweep the street in front of her house. Occasionally, she would clean the oil tank in the basement.

If you clean that often you don’t need t use so many products (except bathroom and dishes) you could dust just with a clean cloth and water Honestly 1500 pounds is a fortune One could just as well use a steam cleaner which is also ecologically safer

I believe cleaning is not intuitive; a person needs to be taught how to recognize something needs cleaning and then how to clean with the appropriate cleansers, even basic cleansers like water, vinegar, baking soda, salt, alcohol, hydrogen peroxide, etc.
