He was adopted as a mouser, not as a pet. He actually has a title- Chief Mouser to the Cabinet Office. The problem with Larry is he is still in the tactical planning stage of mouse catching rather than actually catching mice and rats.

Larry is looking pretty plump and well provided for. I think it's safe to say he was okay with the conservative ticket. Aisle jumping is pretty much uncharted territory and probably has him a little on edge.

Brits always need a symbol of stability. And with the queen gone, a king that may or may not stay, and prime ministers that last less than vegetables and fruits outside of a fridge. That task falls on the cat Larry who, in typical British fashion, is not unphased by it and just keep calms and carries on.

Hi. Larry isn’t owned by the Prime Minister as his post is as Chief Mouser to the Cabinet Office located at 10 Downing Street. It doesn’t matter who the Prime Minister is as he’s not a pet. Being an old building there are sometimes rodents in the area and his job is to keep them away either by catching them or by his presence scaring them away. It’s the same with the cat who used to hold the post of Chief Mouser to the Foreign and Commonwealth Office around the corner, Palmerston.

The house belongs to Larry the people living there are just temporary.

Larry is the only one constant at 10 D so nothing to fear Larry will continue his duties.
