The guy on the bike was trying to catch the car. There was a previous incident, it wasn’t then. If you’ve ridden a road bike before it is clear to see the power that he is putting down in order to get alongside. The power delivery stops the second he is alongside. I’d love to see what interaction there was before because this person is obviously not happy with their driving for whatever reason previously

Yep this cyclist was 100% in the wrong. As both a driver and a cyclist, if i knew i couldn't get past that car quickly and smoothly, i'd be waiting behind. Not once did that pesky cyclist look behind. He just ploughed on in the belief that he's the only person travelling on "his" stretch of road. I find myself glancing behind every 10 seconds maximum. It shows following cars that I'm aware of them and it means I can see how close they are.

The M3/M25 junction at 7:42 has to be one of the stupidest to exist. There's no reason it couldn't just be the 2 leftmost lanes and branch into North/Southbound further along, as when lane 3 is queueing as in this video people just jump ahead by going down the left anyway, as they join up again in a few hundred yards. Seen so many near misses there, and sitting in lane 3 with people doing 60+ either side of you is never too fun.

Better still, both left lanes should go right into Southbound M3. There only needs to be a slip off left form the left-most lane for northbound M3 into London. That would be sufficient, leaving the bulk of the traffic not worrying about which lane they need to be in and traffic would flow far easier. Why is it only use can see this (and have done for years)?

While the Camera doesn't show it, the Cammer could have cut up someone moving From Lane 3 to Lane 2 and in fact if they wanted to use Lane 2 at the Roundabout entry, on the approach should have been in Lane 1. Look at the road markings, their faint but there. No different to legal speeds on the road.... if you keep to the speed limit and drive carefully , you are unlikely to have an accident ..... drive like an idiot and your chances of smashing your vehicle as well as someone else's increase .. Filtering when done in a safe and controlled manner is fine .. it helps free up traffic ..... unfortunately there are too many idiots who don't even know filtering rules

@@oddjobtriumph1635 people who don't know the rules on filtering usually drive cars. I would rather filter or lane split than sit in traffic and risk being hit from behind, much safer imo.

@@KiltedWarrier You are correct it does not state a speed in the highway code. The speed factor is a court judge if there is an accident. They will try and apportion blame to the biker based on speed (many previous cases available to peruse online) It is, however difficult to say a biker was going too fast if the filtering speed is below 15mph. Thats usually sufficient to keep both bike and biker cool.

to be fair the biker was in the vans blind spot, you could see the serve lights or for quite some time so he knew he was going to reverse and had time to move out hte way,

In Clip 16 , I would hope that the police van stopped the driver and warned him about emerging into the path of oncoming traffic . Had a collision occurred , the driver inviting the other one to emerge from the side road would have shared responsibility.

#3 - I’d say the driver who pulled out on the motorcyclist is at fault because he didn’t check his mirrors to see if anybody was coming through. I’m not a driver, but even as a pedestrian I have to look behind me if I’m going to move to to the side of the pavement to answer my mobile or to light a cigarette (I can’t do it whilst walking along as I use a crutch in each hand !) Too many pedestrians will just stop dead in a doorway or on the pavement and not think anything about the people who then walk into them and it’s the same with drivers - how many times have we seen somebody stop in a live lane only for some unfortunate driver to crash into the back of them ?

  • @ArminGrewe

If anyone crashes into someone from behind it's almost always their fault, for the simple reason that they were driving too close and/or weren't paying attention. If you are driving behind someone it's your responsibility to be able to safely stop. The person in front could be making an emergency stop, have a technical failure or something else outside of their control. The following driver crashing into them isn't unfortunate, they are not driving as they should.
