Literally as soon as clip 2 started I knew the cammer was going to crash, I never drive in lane 2 when it looks like that, because of exactly what happened in this clip. Stay in the lane without the snow, keep a 10 second gap, if someone is going a bit slower than maybe necessary just wait behind them, you’ll get to your destination a few minutes later but you’ll get there safely

I dunno. I think maybe they clipped the verge on the righthand side, which caused them to start spinning, cutting in front of the cammer, and they over-corrected which sent them back over to the righthand verge again.

Got to say that it is quite irritating to hear the very first thing some cammers say to drivers at the seen of an accident is, 'I've got it on dashcam!' Especially when saying it to the at-fault driver as though it's a huge relief for them... How about asking if everyone is OK and just offering to be a witness? The dashcam footage can come later after checking it recorded clearly and was not blurry AF.

Isn't it worrying that they can't even see the major part they played in the entire situation? I do not understand how someone can drive at that speed in those conditions and think it's perfectly safe and acceptable. I do wonder if we have strict enough penalties for dangerous driving like this? My sister got rear-ended some years ago with enough force to snap the drivers seat off the rails and reduce the cars length by a few inches. The lad (who was clearly on his phone at the time of the accident) told my sister that his dad was going to be cross with him because this isn't the first time this had happened. All the police did was send him on his way and left my sister at the side of the road at night (in the middle of nowhere) awaiting recovery. Long rant, but frustrates me soooooooo much!

The ambulance one is simple to explain. They Only use the sirens on the way to an emergency to get there fast and clear traffic that would get in the way when every second wasted could cause a death. Sirens are NOT used after they pick up and are on the way to the hospital. It's not about upsetting the patient or any other such thing, it's because although they may need to get there fast the paramedic inside is already treating the patient. They need to ask questions and get accurate information from them, and also relay information between each other and the driver. Sirens would make this impossible.

5:49 The lane makings refer to roundabout on the other side of the bridge. No excuse for turning right from the left lane though. I suspect they were doing a U turn as they couldn't turn right from the road they came out of due to the central barriers. The roundabout is a pain if the peak hour lights are on so I suspect that's the reason for the U turn.

The good old fashioned "I'm going to use my knowledge of formulas for speed, distance and acceleration that I learned in school, to calculate the exact time, I need to pull out, and at what speed, to be able to cause a collision" .... this explains why you see a lot of drivers waiting at junctions for "years", only to suddenly pull out, just.... _so conveniently_ at just the right time that they just _happen_ to cause a collision, or almost cause a collision, as if it _totally_ wasn't calculated.

Depending on the time of day/night Ambulance staff are trained to limit siren use, but on this occasion I think a quick chirp or ready to stop would have been better, they can go through red lights but at much reduced speeds & if unable to do so should switch off lights & sirens so other drivers don't risk injury to self or vehicle & once moving again turn them back on.

3:08 I think expectation of Jag driver is perhaps that BMW will continue around roundabout in lane 2??? And at the point of impact the Jag driver is no doubt checking right for further traffic. Or perhaps Jag driver mistakenly thought BWM had already cleared in front of them? Not that this is in any way the BMW drivers fault (they are even signalling left to exit FFS!), but the better option here (for a few reasons) would be for BMW to be in the left lane earlier to exit, especially as the exit is only single carriageway. Of course that would mean slowing or stopping as the Jag is already incorrectly and inexplicably emerged. No excuse for that. An interesting hypothetical situation would be what if Jag was already on the roundabout in lane 1 approaching from same direction as BMW driver and there was a very similar clipping of Jag front wing and BWM rear quarter? Then who’s fault is it that BWM driver cuts across in front of Jag from lane 2 into lane 1? 😉 Of course that’s plainly not the case here.

@3:48 the cammer caused that accident. Somebody made a mistake and pulled out in front of them on a roundabout, and instead of simply slowing down the cammer actually accelerated at them beeping his horn. This caused the person who had pulled out to believe they were about to be hit from the side (which is exactly what the IDIOT cammer was trying to make them believe) and to quickly accelerate forward to try and avoid the collision, hitting the car in front in the process.
