In case if any one has a question why, Chief of Army Staff of the Indian Army Manoj Pande is wearing only one glove, its because in Indian Army you shake hands with the Free hand not wearing the glove, and there is glove on the hand Holding the sword so he removed the other glove on his Right and put it in his pocket so incase if needs to shake hand if offered a hand shake by one one he can do so.

The gorget patch in Indian army uniform denotes the rank of general...eg 2 stars for maj gen 3 stars for lt gen 4 star for gen

Correction : the Indian Army unform is olive green. The Brit. colour is black.
