do you know if someone like me graduated from Uitm Diploma and do not have any law background except for few intro law subjects during dip can somehow apply for degree law and get accepted? I want to apply but I don't know if I qualified or not because Im not from asasi law

You could apply despite being in diploma, all you need is cgpa at least 3.00 and pass the interview, non-law students they will ask about current issues and some laws that you know

Hello, they might ask you why a stpm student want to take law, your basic law knowledge, current issues and maybe random questions.

I have law interview at IIUM this 20th june. Can I get some example for current issues and basic law knowledge ? Thank you ❤❤

Hello, since you are from Masscom, I believe the suitable question is why a masscom student would want to suddenly take law. They will ask u questions about current issues and ur general understanding of the Malaysian Legal System or random questions (to see your personality) such as your favourite animal, movie... Goodluck!

What about if there is a student wanting to apply for degree in law but from other courses. Lets say an engineering diploma graduate wanting to change course from engineering to degree in law.What will the interviewers ask the student as one does not have basic in law.Perhaps a question regarding the reason why one wants to change course?

Yes I agree, sometimes the interviewer would ask why would you like to pursue law. Sometimes they will also ask you about any laws that you know, your opinions on certain matters and knowledge on current issues

@@Nurnazmaniza As far as I know, the penerapan are usually from asasi dengkil law, however there are students from diploma who managed to enter uitm law and any uitm students could enter more easily since the requirement is 3.00 while non-uitm is 3.75

Hi, Averroes 313! Im Sharon from Sarawak. I would like to ask if it is okay for me to restart my bachelor of law in UITM but in long-distance learning mode in ICEPS UITM, Selangor one day, if I decided to pursue that course one day? I understand that for ICEPS UITM, Selangor bachelor of law long-distance learning mode, we need to be inside UITM campus, Selangor too. Is there any age limit to enter this course? if I'm around 30-35 years old, will it be a possibility as I might be a government teacher one day since I am taking an education diploma currently and will finish in august 2022? And, will there be any placement in a law firm after that or I must take the final exam of law, which is Certificate in legal practice? WIll the final exam of law be provided inside UITM?

1. Yes, only UiTM Shah Alam offers the long-distance programme under LW213 for 6 years of studying which you will learn 2-3 days a week. 2. Usually, those who take LW213 are those who are working, since you'll be around 30, I assume you'll work for the government which is a teacher. Therefore, there is no age limit, but since students joining are working, most probably are those aged 30 and above. There are also those aged 50 and above, provided that the students must work for eithet public or private sector or any new students 3. For LW224 students, they don't need to take CLP, just do chambering straight ahead. However, for LW213 students, you need to tale CLP first to do chambering and then become a lawyer. @@Averroes_313 UITM university accepted Bumiputera students only, is it? Or if i'm wrong? From what you said, long-distance learning for six years, that is quite long, or, if it is okay if the length of study is shorter? Even though long distance learning, still have to study in UITM, Selangor, library and no need to attend lectures inside UITM, selangor, right? If I'm correct? Yeah, might be a reality one day. May i know the full name for LW213 and LW224? I'm just curious.

@@Averroes_313as it's only 3 years for bachelor of jurisprudence in Universiti Malaya, KL, i think ill consider that one day. May i know do you know if there will be part-time paralegal job chance after i grad from this course if i finished studying it after 3 years since I'll be working from monday-friday as a government teacher perhaps next year on 2023? as i know that paralegal job didn't offered part time in malaysia, unless there is a law firm that is willing to hire me, i think because I plan to do/won't do both job later, as a teacher and paralegal OR teacher first, and paralegal later. @@sharonling1840 1. Yes it is only for Bumiputera, but if either parents are bumiputera and if the child is registered or born as bumiputera, I think one may enter. 2. I'm not sure we can shorten the period for 6 years for LW213, because it's not the same as physical class and we only study it only during the weekends since students would be working from Monday to Friday. It must only be done at UiTM Selangor, since the law faculty is only located there, but you'll be learning remote distancing. If anything, the office is located there. 3. If I'm not mistaken, LW244 is Bachelor's of Law while LW213 is Bachelor's of Legal Studies. The only difference is that LW224 is usually taken by those aged 19 above and studies it for 4 years while LW213 is 6 years for working people who attend classes during the weekends
