Hi guys! Seems like many people are asking me on my Instagram about medicine interview. Here are few things that I want to clear up: I’m an Asper student. I took foundation studies in UPM, so I don’t go through the first saringan. But I can tell few infos about it based on what my friends have told me 1. Basically saringan pertama, you just answer the question from the link that will be given by the person in charge of the session. Soalan dia mcm situational questions, so you kinda answer it based on common sense and logic hahahah. The first saringan was conducted online and it’s compulsory for you to turn on your camera while you answer the questions. 2. About the questions like “why do you choose medic” and so on, all of those will be at the second saringan, the MMI. So prepare well for this interview! 3. Is medicine hard? Yes, it’s really a tough journey even for me yang baru second sem 🥲 So you really need to be sure why do you choose this course. In my experience, it is really tiring, tough and VERY busy. thank you for some clarification and some insights of upm iv. just got called for my 2nd saringan after the first one. it is hard to find content or info about upm iv to be honest. thankfully i found this one

Hello, some have asked me for tips. Although I have stated some in the video, but I’ll add some more here So based on my experiences, I can advise… 1. Always greet the interviewer and introduce yourself properly when you enter the station. Like, “Good morning, my name is ___”. Keep in mind to greet them either in English or BM based on the instruction that you will get before entering the station 2. Speak politely, be humble, be professional 3. During the interview with the interviewer, try not to let that anxiety and pressure get too deep in your head. For me, medic interview felt like a discussion more than someone interrogating me. So if you are used to participating in group discussion, it should be less stressful for you as you are used to speak out your opinion. However, you still have to know the boundaries when giving the opinions. Basically they would ask you like, if this certain situation happens, what would you do at that time of event? What actions will you take? What will you say? 4. Try to limit yourself from speaking irrelevant things because you have very limited time. Let’s say you have many answers to that question; if one point takes too much of the time, then you wouldn’t be able to tell the rest of your points. It’s advisable to have 2-3 answers in mind. 5. For roleplay, basically it’s like acting. Some stations require you to pretend like you’re a doctor treating your patient, some that you have to pretend as someone comforting your friend who’s struggling financially and many more possible scenarios. All in all, I think the main point of having these role-plays is to see how you are as person. Are you ethical, are you kind, are you responsible etc… 6. I think it is okay to end your interview at the station early or before the bell rings. If you have explained all of your points and still have time, you can politely say something like, “That’s all from me, that’s all I have to say for the question.” Some interviewers would still ask more and some interviewers may end the session there. 7. Have some knowledge about the news nowadays, especially the ones related to medicine. During my interview, there were certain stations that will ask you about certain news and they want to know what you think of it and if it were you in that situation, what would you do? Anyway, I think I have given many tips for now. Just remember that this is solely based on my experiences. It may or may not work with the interview now. The most important thing is to believe in yourself and have confidence 😊

Hii‼️just wanna ask u a ques..Is it possible for lepasan Asper to pursue their degree in another Uni ? Bcs of the course they wanted to pursue in degree didnt hve in UPM..n apply it in upu again

Pergi je wak. Saya pun salah sorang nya juga. Result sem 1 tak capai requirement tapi dapat iv last minute. Maybe tak cukup students yg capai requirement kot, so dia ambil student yg potentially can pursue medic.

Hi awak 😂 Skrg ni saya tak tahu lagi dapat ke tak degree Medic. Masih tunggu keputusan degree. But to answer your question, my Asasi CGPA is 3.785 😊

may i ask the whole interview session is it in bm for upm ? cause i've gotten an interview for dietetics and not sure is it need to speak in bm for the whole interview session

Hi, sorry for the late reply! Depends on the station you’re at. Some require you to speak in English, some in Malay, some depends on your preference

I was offered foundation studies in UPM 😄 Pretty soon I'll be continuing Doctor of Medicine degree, also in UPM.

Ha yg tu, kene ikut arahan setiap station. Ada station wajib English, ada station wajib BM, and ada station yang beri pilihan nak cakap mana satu 😄
