Besef wel dat veel van die jachtgebieden van plaatselijke grootgrondbezitters worden afgehuurd omdat het veel meer opbrengt dan gewassen kweken. En als de jacht erop zou verdwijnen, dan gaat met zich grotendeels bezighouden met landbouw waar nu natuur is. En dan kan je dag met je handje zeggen tegen de wildstand. Vele van de plaatselijke bevolking gaan dan ook weer over op stroperij van de overgebleven fauna, omdat de vrijwel gratis "wildvleeskraam" wordt gesloten.

Hunting for a scrum cap is a testimony to your sensitivity to the life cycle of the great buffalo. They are also out of the genetic pool and admittedly beautiful. Congratulations!

Lack of understanding their grasshopper. Is very hard to put down a buffalo the very tough animals. The country makes a lot of money off of hunters. The meat does not go to waste, it feeds the villagers free of charge. Not to mention if some of the animals wouldn't killed out they would go extinct.

These (Nile) buffalo didn’t seem motivated to charge, even though the hunters were plainly visible. Quite unlike the old yarns of charging wounded buffalo from the early 1900s. 🤔

Great video all around. But you boys wouldn't be wearing out your barrels if you would shoot some Swift A frames or Barnes TSX bullets. Not joking. We shoot Hornady at the range because its cheap and save the brass for more practice ammo. But, out of the 375 and 416 and 500 nitro in a hunting situation, its nothing but Swift A frame and Barnes X. In that open country, you pulled it off, but in the thick stuff, someone is gonna get stomped using Hornady. Well...............unless for video purposes you wanted to shoot them 12 times.

I can't remember watching a buffalo safari go this wrong. The worst buffalo safari shooting I've seen. The most unethical buffalo safari shooting I've seen. A good VDO on what not to do.

Ok, but are you against hunting, because the animals are African, or because they are animals? Hunting is a tourist activity, developed in Africa and by Africans, which brings a lot of money to the public coffers in taxes, as well as providing jobs.

My last trip to Kruger in 2018 I saw my first "scrum cap"! I was hooked and tried to photograph every buff missing horn parts after that! I thought if I ever had a chance to take a buff that is exactly what I would go for! When I saw the first part of this trip and what these guys were after I couldn't believe it! My first buff would be a scrum cap! Awesome guys!

I watched the first buff hunt and was loudly proclaiming my displeasure at the television when I saw the fellow shoot SEVEN times with the 375 and then his buddy plug him TWICE more with the 458 for a total of NINE rounds for one old buffalo! If you can drive to within "30 yards" of these guys, why do you need to take less than broadside shots from over 100 yards? Next, I saw the guy with the 458 take a really old guy (good selection) with another poorly chosen first shot; however, he got the job done with four shots. I know you guys are excited to be there but please don't let the desire for success override clear thinking.

Is this a “beginner” safari? You’re rock-throwing distance, with a scoped rifle, and shooting at a WB that isn’t moving… and you need 5-6 shots??

The meat all goes to the local communities and villages. Most of the hunting/trophy fees are going to the national parks for conservation.

we eat it and distribute every ounce of it to the local villages, meat organs, nothing goes to waste.

Nice video. Enjoyed it very much. Have to say that with no scarcity of quality target animals there were little thought given to ethical shots taken. Several lost wounded animals. And also, not to be mean. but I've seen better marksmanship. All in all very well done. Congrats, fellas.

The tall guy with the spectacle was very rude and stressed out,I thought he spoke to the clients rudely and was not at all nice to the trackers on film.He should not be seen on tv nor KZread,Hr made me so angry that I turned it off
