When I was a kid in the 1990s, me and my siblings were on the deck late at night looking out to the sky. The city was blacked out due to power problems of the government then so the sky was really clear. We noticed this light that didn’t flicker, moving around the sky, dancing around the stars, making arcs, then going straight stopping then reversing then it also split into three and disappeared. We all got helluva scared that night haha. We all shouted aliens!

Yeah because the actual. rockets are way different than they uses to be. SpaceX has redesigned the rockets and a big part of it results in these plumes. They're trying to reuse the rockets so pieces of it fall back to earth, sometimes rotating so you can get an array of possible cool looking things in the sky. It's also why this one slowly faded, because the vapors were dissipating.

I saw a similar thing on a very clear night from a rocket launch from hundreds of miles away. At that distance of course there’s no sound. The rocket eventually split in two halves similarly creating a cloud like appearance. Cool to watch but I’d call this an identified flying object and not a UFO.

@@gregordawgbin5227I own 141 acres of forest land in Washington. Has a 1930s home that I’m remodeling that hasn’t been lived in since the very early 80s. Finished one of the bedrooms, and got the bathroom and kitchen in working order. So I stay a couple of nights each time I go to get work done. Keep in mind, there is no air traffic in the skies above my place. Never has been. One evening, I’ve just turned everything out, and the only light anywhere would have been coming from the wood stove in the living room. Laying in bed, a light from outside the window high up in the sky brightened up my entire room. Almost as if someone was doing a flyby with a really fast drone and a huge flashlight on it. Although it was far fetched, because the electric pole is located on the other side of the house, I thought a transformer blew or something. Went out and looked, and nothing. Pitch black. No noise. Nothing but the stars. Never told anyone about it, because I don’t really believe in that stuff. Until… a woman came out with me a few months later to stay and see the place. It happened again. Same direction, same speed, similar height and distance. She immediately yelled UFO. That relationship didn’t work out, but she did reluctantly stay with me a couple more times. It was definitely the topic of conversation on a number of occasions while there. I still struggle believing in that stuff, but what else could it be? My place hasn’t even finished being insulated yet. It ain’t airtight. You can hear everything outside. There was no plane, no helicopter. I’m fairly confident I’d even be able to hear most drones. And my closet neighbor is about half a mile away in any direction. Ain’t no one flying their drone on my property at midnight.

Cloud is too big and doesn't have the right shape. Not traveling at the right speed either (orbital velocity is much faster). And lastly. Rockets can't contain that much gas. Even when we detonate nukes in space, which create huge gas expansions in mere seconds (much more than rockets can generate). It does not reach that size.
