A great reaction, Dani! I loved it! :) The lead guitarist for UFO was Michael Schenker, who was the original lead guitarist for the Scorpions.

I was just a 17 year old boy going to see Ozzy Osborne on the Ultimate Sin tour in Jacksonville Florida. I think it was 1988,,,but my buddies and I had this huge boom box with two packs of batteries to keep it going all the way listening to UFO - LIGHTS OUT LONDON!!! They rewinded it for an hour every time on cassette and man was it loud. I'm 53 now, but listening to this takes me right back to that memory and I hope my old friends are doing well. I moved to North Georgia but I miss you guys. Thanks for taking me back to memory lane!!!

I think I'm in love! ❤😁 When I was 14, 15, these older dudes down the street took me to concerts. We saw UFO/Molly Hatchet, 1979, Chicago, international Ampitheatre. Also seen the Eagles, Van Halen, Black Sabbath, Van Halen, Santana, Buddy Guy, Rainbow, Dio, Ozzy, and many many other concerts.

Nice Dani, always great to see a UFO reaction, that band has been part of the soundtrack of my life since 1974. That is when the amazing Michael Schenker joined the band and they created 5 magnificent albums from then until 1978, then Michael left for various reasons, they then released Strangers in the Night live, a consensus top 10 live rock album, it is that good and showcases the very best of the Michael Schenker 70s output. They were very lucky to have Paul Chapman, another fine guitarist that subbed when Michael missed gigs and then took over as lead guitar in 1979 for another 4 excellent albums. From that live album, try Love to Love, from the Paul Chapman era try Making Moves. Great band with dozens of excellent songs. They have been active since 1970 and only recently stopped. Enjoy! 🎵🎸🎤🎹🎶

Was a late-comer to UFO, 1977. Same year of this release, and what a way to get introduced to them. Michael Schenker was only 22 then. Absolute slayer even then.

Michael Schenker was still a teen when "Lights Out" was released in 1977. Listen to "Too Hot To Handle" from UFO's "Lights Out" album. You'll be impressed.

The "Strangers in the Night" album serves as a decent "greatest hits" for UFO, since it's a live album. Go for it!

@@jeffh7663 Kind of, It's also about the economic situation of the UK in the early 70's. Three-Day Week was one of several measures introduced in the United Kingdom in 1973-1974 by the Conservative government to conserve electricity, the generation of which was severely restricted owing to industrial action by coal miners and railway workers.

Never heard any of their music? Get hold of a copy of Obsession from 1979. Fifth studio album from UFO with lead guitarist Michael Schenker. Every track is stunning, especially Only You Can Rock Me which was a UFO classic & which Schenker always plays with his current line up. Michael Schenker joined UFO at age 16 & transformed their sound, & made them the success that they were in the mid to late ‘70’s. At 66, Schenker is still recording excellent albums with varying artists. Give UFO’s 1979 live album Strangers In The Night a listen, it’ll blow your socks off. Good to see a modern day young lady appreciate great rock. 😊👍
