So I rarely do tape study but had some free time this week. If you watch how people defend Martinez’s leg kicks, it’s with movement and circling. Nobody checks them. Makes it pretty much impossible to counter off of, and once he hits the leg a few times their movement is limited. Also with no punches coming back, Martinez can just throw blind leg kicks repeatedly. That’s not how Aldo defends leg kicks. Watch against Vera, Vera spammed leg kicks the first two rounds, Aldo checks almost all of them and almost always returns with a combination to the body. He’s been strictly boxing training for the last year or so, so maybe his timing is off, but I doubt it. I could easily see Aldo finishing Martinez with body shots, or else Martinez’s kick volume will go down because he’s sick of getting countered.

That's definitely a possibility. I'm done betting on 38 year Olds that I expect to fight like they did at 32. It's been my biggest betting flaw.

I'm gonna go with an all Brazilian parlay: Bonfim by ko, Ruffy, Borralho, Pereira, Petrino, Pantoja. Might add Lucindo and Brito. Also will do the same parlay but with Orolbai in it. Short notice up a weight class against a ko artist is a very good look.

I think most likely to lose is Pantoja. This fight is going to look 2 ways, Pantoja is going to show there are levels to this or Erceg is just that good. I bet against him when he fought Dvorak and then max bet him by ko against Schnell. But Pantoja should win. He has the 5 round experience. ​@@marthoTT

@@marthoTT Smith ain't that good. He's old and kind of cocky. His ''win'' over Spann is such a bad look now after how Spann got destroyed by Lionheart 2.0. I think Petrino is a very safe bet, he will probably play it safe and make Smith weary of power shots and not go crazy. Petrino all day.
