What's hard to believe? Volk dismantled everyone and looked untouchable and has superior wrestling and striking. Ilia threw a great right and KO'ed him but don't act like Volk didn't just get knocked out brutally 4 months ago.. I think Ilia will be champ for a while but to say he's the most complete FW ever is crazy... I think 2023 Volk would've wiped this guy

@@DL13650he never looked untouchable, he was hit clean many times on the way up hard fights with Chad Mendes, knocked down hard by Holloway in the 2nd fight, and almost submitted by Ortega, people have bias because he looked so good vs Islam in the first fight, regardless of the 2nd fight i would have still picked Ilia, besides the Jai Herbert head kick he looked untouchable and even the one time he was ever cracked he literally killed the man in the 2nd round, im not hating on Volk but he’s always been open to good boxers, Islam was hurting him with forearms fr, Volk is great champion but he was never unbeatable.

(we have bad economic situation in country so many people are poor sadly and can't afford it. ) everyone is talking about Ilia for days non-stop. he's a star already, everyone wants to fight him.

The biggest thing for me when comparing Sean & illa, is that illa just has this confidence about him that can’t compare to sean. Sean looks like he barley believes himself & his trash talk just doesn’t feel real..

Ilia only lost the first round because he was studying Volk. I actually think that Volk was doing way better during the second round, but you just can’t let Ilia catch you with those punches. That combination is a trademark at this point.

I think its wild that Merab fought Aldo justbefore the fight but its not super human or never been done before. Young fans either dont know or remember when alot of these organizations including UFC were tournament style where multiple fight per night was the norm. They are using Hills need for respect and his belt against him by offering him this fight before hes ready. I dont think people realize just how bad that injury is and how long it takes to properly rehab it.

I feel like if Henry tries to get another fight the only name the UFC will give him is Umar Nurmagomedov

The reason why Khamzat can’t enter US is his close ties with the terrorist leader Kadyrov and he doesn’t have Swedish passport, he only has Russian.

Two of the three fighters,offered to Leon - khamzat and Islam, both have been very outspoken previously that they will not fight during Ramadan. To the point that both of them were covered by many media sources several Weeks ago Where the fans would see video footage of each fighter, saying the same thing (that they will not fight during Ramadan). I’m not sure what’s up with Shavkat, and frankly, more surprised that Leon said yes to that fight, as he’s likely dodging a bullet for whatever reason Shavkat said no. But the most bizarre thing is that with 2/3 of these fighters offered to Leon that can’t fight him are very outspoken about not being able to fight on UFC 300 due to The date of the event conflicting with Ramadan. With all that said you have Belal, who is also Muslim, but has been outspoken and in media sources weeks ago Saying that, despite being Muslim, he would be willing to fight during Ramadan, and is one of the only Muslim fighters who has said this. Thr desire and heart Belal shows exactly what he wants and he wants the belt and to be world champion above all else

Let illia defend one time and then rematch with volk would make sense.

Ian RAN for two rounds completely. I mean RAN around that cage. He should have been warned and then a point taken for timidity. He was AVOIDING the fight and then when he would set up in front of Geoff he would jet off again OR take a pot shot and then jet off again. It was the biggest CLEAR case of timidity I have ever saw in the octagon. Getting on yuor bike is one thing. But going ALL THE WAY AROUND THE OCTOGON IN A VERY FAST MOTION? That is beyond lateral footwork. That is avoiding the fight.

Not everyone has the support of stars like Nadal, Ramos, Casillas, Iniesta etc. BEFORE they even become champ. These are huge names in the world of tennis and soccer. He got a shout out from Real Madrid, one of the biggest sports clubs in the world. His style is exciting even for casuals, speaks multiple languages, outspoken, confident, good-looking. I'm not even trying to glaze the man but he does have all the requirements to become a star.

It seems that every time Khamzat faces challenges in obtaining a visa due to his association with Kadyrov. I'm surprised that Ariel didn't mention it.

Every guy who gets a belt wants to fight another champion in the next weight class, so they can make a million dollars, if they win, they become a double champ, if they lose, no harm, they are still champion of their own weight class, with big paydays to come..If you want to go up, then surrender your belt, and challenge for another belt..

Sometimes Ariel Helwani talks absolute nonsense. Neither Yair nor Ortega deserves a Title fight. Ilia is absolutely right. Ortega has lost 3 of his last 4, Yair Rodriguez is 2-2 in last four and his last fight was a one sided loss to Alex. How can get another title shot? Moreover Both Ortega and Yair are so inactive that combined together both of them probably haven't fought 4 times in the last 5 years. To make matter worse Both of them are injury prone, both pull out of fights all the time. UFC knows that and they didn't even make their fight main event in Mexico despite being a higher weight class than Flyweight. Because they know the risk. They will have to refund their customers if the fight falls.

You are absolutely correct, they don't deserve it. Let them stock up at least 3 impressive win streaks, finish people and show us consistency. Only person who might make sense is Max, depending how he deals with Justin. If he wins the BMF belt, then that Ilia fight against Max will make sense. But Yair and Ortega should not be put close to that title shot conversation!
