Udon Thani Thailand | A Good Expat Option?

Today's adventure coming from Udon Thani, a city in Isaan, Thailand. Is Udon a city i could live in the future as an expat in Thailand?
We kick things off by checking out the bustling morning markets nearby. There's always something exciting to discover in these vibrant markets! Then, it's time to hit the streets of Udon Thani and see what this city has to offer. Along the way, I chat with some locals and give you my very early initial thoughts and feelings about the place.
Whether it's a good vibe or a bad vibe, I'll be sharing my opinions!

Your treatment in your Vlogs is always light hearted and kind Wayne. Hard to avoid the unstable sometimes. No worries Mate! Thanks for this one. Udon Thani has some amazing natural wonders as you get out of the city and head east. I always thought that Udon had a similar feel to Chiang Mai on a smaller scale. Thanks for bring us along!

Udon's actually quite a bit bigger than the area around the train station. There's a really big lake with huge rubber ducks on it, which is a popular picnic spot, for instance.. There's also a bit of a shopping area south of the train station. The bike would be quite useful for just exploring the town. I walked around myself, but it would have been easier with a bike I imagine.

Anyway, i probably was the only farang in town. Many curious, but polite stares. Interestingly, one of the best dinosaur museums is nearby in the state park. You might google it. Depends, electric will be cheap no matter what. Nothings changed with the format buddy, I'm just on the road. I been going on trips for ages, nothings changed, sometimes I'm on trips and sometimes I'm in Chiang Mai.. Cheers.

I might be a bit wrong , but I assumed Udon Thani was a popular spot for cheap charlie Mongers :) Ive seen it mentioned in videos and comments sections the bar girls are cheaper than the touristy spots, No idea myself never been there

I'm not sure about popular, maybe a bit cheaper than your well known Monger places. Can find that in any chilled Thai town like this though. There are a few mongies flying about for sure, same in every Thai city. I wouldn't say popular though, it's dead . 👍
