Udawalawe, Sri Lanka - Wildlife Safari with SONY A7RIV camera and 200-600 G lens

I take you along with me on a safari through the Udawalawe National Park in Sri Lanka and show you how I capture wildlife (animals and birds) using the SONY A7R4 camera and FE 200-600 G lens. I discuss my preferred camera settings and show real world samples of photographs and video shot on the Sony A7r4 and FE 200-600 lens.
Udawalawe is one of the largest National Parks in Sri Lanka and a great spot for viewing and capturing animals and birds in the natural habitat.
This video is really aimed at newish birding enthusiasts, who are starting out and using the Sony A7RV camera and FE 200-600 lens but it might also be of interest to more experienced wildlife shooters who are considering to switch to Sony gear.
The Sony A7r4 is a fantastic hybrid mirrorless camera with a high resolution 61MP sensor, allowing you to crop in and get closer to you wildlife subjects.
The Sony FE 200-600mm is fantastic lens with a versatile focal length, giving beautiful sharp images with great bokeh. An excellent choice telephoto zoom lens for Wildlife!

Great video, definitely deserves more views. I'm about to start my wildlife photography/videography journey. I bought a Sony Zv-1 yesterday and am going to South Africa in April. Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the feedback! Congrats on your purchase. The Zv-1 is a nice little camera to get started on, for both video and photography, as well as vlogging. Try putting it into Manual mode straight away and play around with your exposure settings- aperture, shutter speed and iso. I would recommend leaving it in auto ISO. Have fun with it and enjoy South Africa!

Thanks for sharing what I think is your best video yet! Thoroughly enjoyed seeing a lesser-known park in Sri-Lanka. Enjoyed it being informative with details in sidebar and your narrative. Amazing variety of animals you captured and fascinating shots. captured in only two days, beautifully edited. Look forward to next one soon!

I use the exact same camera for wildlife and the cropability is insane I use it quite extensively with my trusty 70-200 gm ii😉

Thanks for the comment. I recently purchased the 70-200 GM -2 and so far absolutely loving it for wildlife. Also a very versatile lens, with fast autofocus, and produced nice sharp images and great bokah.
