Watching this made me super nostalgic! I graduated '12 from Muir with a Management Science degree. I was in a fraternity and I was a student manager at a dining hall. I honestly forgot how beautiful the campus was. In general, UCSD is what you make it! A social life wont fall into your lap but you can find a great one if you look. Classes are competitive sometimes but that shouldn't surprise you. Enjoy!!

@@nailsbyLP 1320 SAT, 24 ACT, 4.33 GPA at the time of application. VP of 2 clubs, I also received a few state awards and 1 city award so my extracurriculars kinda carried me 😂 I played badminton for 3 years and did track 1 year

Just got accepted!! UCSD is my second choice school (didn’t get into my first) but I’m from out of state and idk how much financial aid I’ll be getting, which is really sad because I REALLY want to go there😢

if you're applying to ucsd, i'd recommend not putting revelle at the top of your list! i'm currently in revelle and their ge's are the hardest, you have to take 4-5 quarters of hum (your grades are determined by your ta). i wish i was a muir student instead lol the ge's are easy and the dorms are supposedly nicer. i was able to live in toulumne (muir apartments) my first year from overcrowding and the campus was amazing.

Joanna Lara I also go to UCSD & I randomly found this video but I think that your experience here is what you make of it. There’s events that go on all the time at UCSD & clubs to join & lots of people to meet, the beach is close. There’s lots of things to do but it’s up to you to actually engage in those things. We probably don’t have as much as UCLA or something like that, but yeah if you just secluded yourself in your room then it’s UC socially dead, but really any college experience is what you make out of it(: But also UCSD isn’t a party school, so if that’s the main thing you’re looking for, then yeah this isn’t the school for you... but there’s definitely parties

I live in an apartment on campus, so I'm not entirely sure how the residential halls are, but from what I've heard, it's 2 people to a bedroom and then X amount of people will share a common area with a kitchen, bathroom, etc., Where that number varies a bit. There might be more info on the UCSD HDH website. Apartments are a full size apartment with a contained area that's just for the people that live there. Mine has 7 people spread throughout 3 bedrooms. I've never visited dorms at other campuses, but I've heard their always small, so I wouldn't let that be a deciding factor honestly. More about the academics.

All dorms are suite style for first years. It depends on which college she got admitted to on on whether she can get a single, double or triple. I live in warren where there’s singles and triples. I personally chose a triple because i wanted roommates, it is pretty small but totally doable!!

Ramya Iyer Food is pretty decent (dining halls can vary greatly) but NOT all you can eat, which might be a problem. I would say whether you walk/bike depends a lot on where you live and where your classes are.

this is by far the best people you can go to school with. ucla has a whole other feel that is best people in a way that just will not make you feel good like being around these guys does. ucsb is nowhere like this place. princeton just is not where you want to be.

Also I disagree, Goody's is the best burrito place on campus. The best food on campus is 100% Pines, that is of course not including fine Dining (Bistro Is Pretty Good). Go Warren!
