That my friends was a wonderful moment. Paige never fails to give credit to her entire team, her coaches and even her opponents. She is one classy young woman and well deserving of any reward or recognition she receives.

A pure pleasure to see genuine humility & team-first selflessness in such a magnificently gifted athlete. Uconn fans are overjoyed and proud of you Paige.
Coached 30 years of HS Boys Basketball.... Never as interested in girls basketball as I am this year, this is because of Paige! It has led to me seeing and watching the incredible amount of talent throughout the country and what will be coming next year out of HS! The women's game has seen an uptick in skills and overall talent, these girls can play!

I'm a new subscriber because it's Paige Bueckers. She brought me to Hopkins, then Uconn and NCAA women's basketball. Actually I don't watch NCAA men's basketball because I'm not yet familiar with the players but only selected NBA teams. It's just relaxing and enjoyable watching her play. A very talented and intelligent Freshman....🥰🔥🇵🇭

I started watching women's basketball in 2000. Paige is truly a great player and even better teammate! I knew she was special player when I watched her play in the 8th grade. Well deserved, Paige!
Even though I'm still furious about the Baylor loss I agree Paige deserves this award. She's a great player and so is the team. I hope she passed it around to everyone to hold and cherish which I'm sure she did.

Players like Paige are literally going to get more people to watch women’s basketball and put them on the map the same way all the NBA legends have since the 60s
Assuming she stays 4 years (probably only 3) but will still go down as one of, if not the greatest women's college basketball player ever. Multiple titles for sure
I don’t think people realize this is going to be the best player in women’s basketball history. She’s special. Get them rookie cards meow!

Has everything you'd want to be the face of your sport. WNBA has to be counting down the days until she is draft eligible.
well deserved it, keep insipiring young girls
This is the player the WNBA has been craving for. A style of play that is unlike any other women before her and is very charismatic. She's absolutely showtime on the court. If the WNBA starts hyping her and Caitlin Clark as star-crossed rivals like Bird and Magic, the league will finally take off.

I need to go back and watch highlights. Was the season she played in the Big East worthy of this award. Other players played as well but in much tougher conferences.
This woman is a bonafide champion! I love it.
Well done great ..congrats idol godbless
Congrats Paige!
Uconn will every year have an incredible player, and as it will turn out , they will dominate. I would find it personally more challenging and satisfyingly to be the first to start a new or winning culture at another school. You can make your mark forever, at uconn, your just one of many. The competitor in me just says you win all the time and it becomes too easy , if I go to say the pac 10 , any school, I will be challenged, I would find that more gratifying because every game is a battle, not a blowout.
U deserved gurl! We support you always love it

" But out of nowhere, another player is cutting to the basket, she hits her in stride for an easy layup...2 points for UCONN in 4 seconds of the start of the game. And then they lost. Caitlin Clark is a better player and pure scorer, with her on UConn they win the title. Life is a lie and so is the build up of heroes so the sport can remain in the spotlight. Clark stats for the season Pts 27.4 per game/ Reb 6.0/ Ast 6.8.... Paige Pts 19.8 per game/ Reb 4.6/ Ast 6.2... Disagree. What's the hurry? There are always upsides and downsides to every path one takes.
I guess all you have to do to give a great speech these days is to cry. I would love to hear from one of these girls/women to be courageous and talk about how it's the right time now to start playing with a real basketball instead of the smaller rim friendly handicapped woman's basketball. These young ladies deserve to experience the game the way true basketball players play the game.
I've been following Paige for 2 years and have become disappointed. She is still a precocious , immature teenager that wants conflict with Geno. Then the big act of hiding her face as she thanks coach. As a defeat by Arkansas was a wake up call I'm rooting for Arizona to do the same. Recently Geno did say that there are other teams he'd rather play than Arizona.
