    Really helpful video even for me here in the UK. I love the way you demonstrate real world useability. In particular you've sold me on the idea of a 1/4" hose instead of 3/8", since like you I was leaning towards 3/8 for the same spurious reasons. I want to upgrade the (rubbish) stock hose / fittings on my DIY pressure washer so that it is Quick Connect for the full pipeline. Thanks for the info.

    Yeah, it all comes down to preference and when upgrading a DIY setup Uberflex is a great option. Now once you decide to go all out the 3/8 hose is what I would suggest if running and AR630 or a Kranzle. They seem to run better in a 3/8 vs a 1/4 from what I have witnessed.

    Me too, but got to remember we are 2% of the market when it comes to pressure washer accessory sales. Most of the world doesn’t care about the fittings. M22 itself is a great connection when it comes to being a hand tight no leak connection that easy for a consumer. You can connect quick connects to m22 pretty easily and even if you have 3/8 pre-installed you still need an m22 to QD adapter.

    Be very careful with the Uberflex on the gas pressure washer its max is 3100 PSI so any spike could be a problem. they do make a another 1/4 hose that is red in color that holds 3700 PSI. They also have a 3/8 hose that has the same material. 3/8 I think is better for a gas pressure washer compared to an electric one.

    Got this from Active --. Active Products Inc. Tom C Yes, the 40' hose provided with the 2.3 is steel braided, and so is the 20' hose for the 2.0. We've seen some users having some surging issues with the 2.0 using the Uberflex, so we recommend using a steel-braided hose like the Kobrajet for this unit.

    Later after this video I started getting the surging issues with the Uberflex. I switched to my Kevlar braided hose and have not looked back. It is a crazy stout cart with 1/8 inch thick powder coated steel everywhere and no rattles just smooth. I stopped using it in my wash cart videos because I hated telling people they couldn’t get it. I do have several cart videos going over different versions over the years. Here is a link to the cart series playlist if you are interested. It doesn’t tangle with pressure either. With pressure you lose some flexibility as expected and the loops just pull right out and no kinks. Used it for a good bit before replacing recently to use the Uberflex for another cart project.

    You need a jumper hose to go from the pressure washer to the hose reel. Depending on the hose reel you bought the input from the pressure washer could be in different spots. On mine I show in the video it is at the base where it is mounted to the wall. I explain in this video around the 20 minute mark kzread.info/dash/bejne/iWep0tCDgLeXpKg.html

    I see the disconnect. I have a different reel, I purchased the Coxreel. So I have to buy the adapter you mentioned in your video and do it that way. So I have the jumper hose and that will hook up to the reel on the outside connection, while the uberflex will be plugged in inside the reel via the adapter connector. I appreciate the help!

    I picked up 100 feet of yamatic. I need to find a hose reel for basic home use I saw a video to Adapt a 40 dollar hose reel. I can’t imagine spending hundreds of dollars for basic home use. Also hundreds for a vacuum hose.

    The one I have is 50ft, but there is a 100ft version that I had on my wash cart. Just a little over $100. I’ve heard many do the $40 air hose reel conversion. I myself probably won’t do that as it’s not designed for that type of pressure. I know some mobile guys using it all day with no problems so I guess it works. I just saw this one it’s $90 and comes with the jumper hose which usually cost $25. Same design as the one I have. amzn.to/3OaZttl

  • @CarsWithKeav

    @CarsWithKeav

    Жыл бұрын

    @@vectorr6651 Absolutely, you can use it with only reeling a foot and leaving 99 feet on the reel. It’s designed for pressure that a pressure washer gives. You may have been watching Imjoshv video and he is right to a point on taking the whole hose off as the hose expands when pressurized. This won’t be an issue if you roll the hose up on the reel while it still has pressure then when done relieve the pressure and the hose will have room to expand the next time.

    No GPM difference at this hose length. You can get pressure drop using a 1/4 inch hose when you get 100ft+. I did go back to 3/8 because of the Kevlar hose I am using is much lighter and less diameter than a Kobrajet.

    I’ve used both the 3/8 Kobrajet and the Uberflex. I’ve enjoyed both. The 3/8 is just a little bit heavier duty and I feel confident about it’s durability while dragging it on the driveway. The weight really isn’t much of an issue at all when using them, you really only notice it when holding it all coiled up. The jacket of the Kobrajet is easier to wipe off while winding it back on the hose.
