    UBC is the best tournament. Watching without PR is not as interesting (pros are close enough in skill for luck to be the biggest factor in any given match/series of matches). Super high production value. Thank you!

    Miyamato Musashi art of strategy. Book 7. Was not in the five ring series. The fear the Chinese would get hold of it. Then dominate Backgammon. Was untenable. It was hidden. Untill. Mark Olson. Exploring a cave in the Kyoto region. Discovered the lost text. The value of the golden number. Musashis theory. If you asked him. He would deny it. It is no coincidence. There are 24 pyramids. Yin. Yang. Night day. Then we go decimal. 30. Pieces of silver. 24 Pyramids. All aligned true north. Do the the Math. There were no compasses then. Five thousand years ago. Random. ? I hear a siren. They may be coming for me. The truth is out there. This is not a game. It's a metaphor for life.

    Would it be possible for each player to use his own dice color, so that when the roll is sitting on the board, it is clearer to the viewer whose move it is? Another great tournament, thanks, Marc!

    We appreciate BG and it's work, but can you tune down a little the popups? you can't move around without clashing with one. That could be solved with a lower marquee or a permanent banner in some place, but c'mon.

    Why backgammon not popularity like chess all talk champ in chess but in the backgammon not talk about champ this not fair.

  • @NickBriglia

    @NickBriglia

    Жыл бұрын

    1) There is no “champ” in backgammon. Just this made up tournament pretending to crown one. 2) It’s just a dice game. Someone playing 10 PR can beat someone playing 2 PR. That would be pretty embarrassing in a “championship” match. The chess champ could never lose to someone that much below him.

    @@NickBriglia Wrong. There's a World Championship every year in Monte Carlo, and this, the UBC Championship. Also, other games that rely on probability and luck, as well as skill and knowledge, have championships. Like Poker, Bridge, etc, etc. You could be lucky in Chess too, if your opponent couldn't sleep all night because of ...... whatever! But they are different games, for sure.

    @@NickBriglia And yet, you are captivated enough to be here watching it. Strange, that. And please post a link to support your claim that a 10 PR beats a 2 PR. We are waiting with baited breath. One wonders, given your claim, why a 10 PR doesn't win a championship, given your claim.

    24 pyramids. Yin Yang. Coincidence along lay lines 24 pyramids aligned to true North. Before the compass was invented. Add binary. Decimal to the equation. 30 pieces of silver. Conspiracies evolve. No coincidence. Churchill. Jefferson. Darwin. Shapers of destiny played. Religiously. Give us our chance. A major tournament. If anyone agrees. Leave a comment. Campaign brothers and sisters , friends and especially enemies. Let's play.
