Pakistan's prime minister Shehbaz Sharif declared in Abu Dhabi that his country's days of begging from brotherly nations are over. Sharif also met Emirati president Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and secured investments worth $10 billion. Meanwhile, Pakistan's bid to secure a long-term bailout worth $6-$8 billion from the IMF has hit a roadblock. The global lender is reportedly asking the Pakistani government to impose austerity measures including a cut in state expenditure and a hike in gas and oil prices. Such measures could increase discontent with the already-unpopular Sharif government. Considering these challenges, are Pakistan's days of begging really over? Palki Sharma tells you.

Not because of religion, they are not that stupid. It's because they know the money comes back to their country, they have bought assests inside pakistan, pakistan army is used as their personal security guards, etc etc
