"From the legal standpoint, Taiwan is not part of the Republic of China," a declassified CIA report on Taiwan written in March 1949 says. "Pending a Japanese peace treaty, the island remains occupied territory in which the U.S. has proprietary interests," the report continues.

Wonder what she'll say if Kashmir seek independence from India...Will Modi just let it happen? Will Palki shoot her mouth off blaming Pakistan or even China? That's Indian hypocrisy on China and the One China's principal adopted and acknowledged by the UN and over 180 countries, including India. Wait till Kashmir or Nagaland seek independence from India and the world will witness India's reaction!

China is not invading Taiwan they was one country some years ago they should come back as one country again better for Taiwan better for China, the people of Taiwan must realize they have nothing to fear from China,... I wish China and Taiwan good luck in coming back together....

Taiwan spoke China language, but they’re independent, not belong to CCP. Not all the countries spoke English, must belong to USA. They’re independent countries, as Great Britain Australia Canada….

Once the country established their own government and ran it for a long time that country who established their own government is not part of other country anymore. So Taiwan can not be part of China because they have chosen their own type of government. However, if the government of that country is willing to unify to motherland that is the time both country could join together in a peaceful way. Once China attached Taiwan that is a provocation to the security of the world and the Unified countries have the power to defend that based on the International obligations.
