Brother, thank you for sharing your story. I applaud for your determination. You didn’t let your circumstance stop you from educateing yourself. You also forgave your father and half siblings. In life, forgiveness is hard but it’s the best thing we can do for ourselves. Forgiveness doesn’t mean what was wrong is ok but it’s letting you reconcile relationships and it frees you to go in living life without anger or resentment. It's sad and so true about our hmong community. You hold no value until you have money and education. No one wants to support you or give you anything when you poor, but when you have money, everyone remembers you and call you. We need to change that way of thinking. Poor or rich, we all die the same way and bury the same way.
