WTF?

All they need is one more 90s style album and they can rest into some kind of retirement. But people who witnessed the coming of Actung Baby and the Zoo TV tour on through to Zooropa and Pop, they've been oh so patient. Grumbling on the sidelines but patient. Hoping that one day, U2 would walk away from safe again and up the amplifier on raw, sonic, surreal and sarcastic sounds from another planet. The oldest U2 fans deserve it. U2 deserve it. So if any of them read this, just do it. Just go there.

Wouldn't doing a 90s style album be the safest thing possible? I'd rather they didn't try to sound like they're 30 years younger and instead make an album that a 60someting U2 would make

Good for you. But maybe a 60somethingU2 might want to return to sublime weird, psychedelic or electronic sounds with an Edge in furious form? There was nothing safe about Zooropa, Pop or Passengers. And such albums wouldn't be safe now either. @@Mitchell_E_Underscore

Amazing! So glad he wore them for the tour. Those Lennon glasses he wore before really didn't suit him.

The real WMD is the edges guitar. A WMD for all that ails the human spirit! What a treasure and Bono knows it and reacts to it with respect fear and awe! Beautiful

Excuse and forgive my swearing but This band of friends, artists, musicians and forward thinkers called U2 are abso-Fucking-lutely incredible, look at the way the room becomes square, yes i’m aware they didn’t build it but they may have had some input from Willy and The Edge with ‘how a concert would sound in here’? @@pryan9892 Unfortunately that’s a no go due to my mental health and agoraphobia but when I was in my teens they performed twice at a open air man made stadium kinda thing called ‘The Bowl’ in Milton Keynes on the ‘War’ Tour and again for amnesty international, I was then lucky enough to experience (and it was an experience) the Zoo TV tour at Birmingham NEC and then again at Wembley for the Popmart Tour and my last concert was the 360° Tour which again was so forward thinking in design to see them in 360°, that was the last time I saw them, Zoo was obviously and forever will be the best Tour/Show I have ever seen and I have seen a lot of Old school Hip Hop artists in the late 80’s at Hammersmith Odeon and Brixton Academy (Public Enemy, LL Cool J, Run DMC) but nothing will ever beat Zoo TV… I think they will release a Blu-ray for this and maybe even a 4K so I am hoping to get a sense of the sound and vision but you are one lucky man to see them in the Sphere, they was/are the only band that could do it justice with there visions and music. Thanks so much and sorry about the essay lol Hope you live close to be able to go a few more times, Love, Purpose n Peace MCD

I remember seating there at the beginning of the show and getting more nervous and more excited with every minute passing.💜 I tried to look around to see if there is any tiny door they might come out of, I had no idea what I will actually feel when I see them. 🫶🏻 Suddenly the light got darker and darker, I realise that this is it! The best band that ever existed, the ones who mean so much to me, the ones I’ve been listening to for 9 months everyday, literally everyday, those who because of i convinced my mom to travel for 27 hours straight, from the other side of the world, during my high school break, the ones who I watched on my phone so many times preform, are about to get on that stage every minute now, I am about to see them with my own eyes, not in 5 months, not in a week, not in a day, but NOW! 💜 And then I saw 3 men, walking on the stage, I was shocked, I knew it’s them, but I kept asking myself “where is Bono?”, “What about him??” Suddenly, I saw a man standing on the side, just standing there. He started walking on the stage. from the first second I saw him I knew it’s him, I couldn’t breathe! Just couldn’t believe the fact that this man, who I love his voice, his confidence, his perspective, his actions, literally everything about him!❤️ The one who I read his book, even did my book report for school on it, I can now see HIM with my own eyes, and not through a screen.🩵 I couldn’t take my eyes off them! 🫶🏻🫶🏻 I know that this night will always remain one of the most memorable moments of my life!💖💖 Love U2 so so much❤️❤️❤️

Nah, 1993 was more raw, Bono's voice was at it's prime, and his stage performances are to this day unmatched by anyone.

U2's temporary drummer Bram van den Berg is very great.
