God, I love this. The intro to 'Streets' has never been done better, and when Adam and Larry kicks in, it's probably the most energetic-sounding U2 ever were. Somehow, the muddled and less-than-perfect mix is perfect, after all. The sound of the ZooTV tour is the best U2 ever sounded, in my opinion.

As many times as I've seen this, the intro to Streets still sends chills down my spine.

The intro guitar here to Running To Stand Still, wow! Chills also. What a great mood they set. Groups like U2 and Depeche Mode set such greats moods and feel. Viva U2! 🙂

Love Bono's "pure and simple just singing" moment that is Running to Stand Still....this whole things is gorgeous.

I was 5 years old at the time of this concert. This is amazing the only reason I would like to have been born earlier is to see bands like the stones, the beatles, the boss and U2 in their prime. Amazing. U2 FTW.

i watched ZOO TV twice in 10 days at Wembley, unforgetable nights both of them. I knew after the second night I would never see a concert that good again. It was incredible U2 fan or not the show the songs it was the best live band of all time's momment of creative perfection.

Nothing can beat that transition from running to standstill to streets AWESOME.

The way they brought these two songs together was awesome. I think that Running To Stand Still merging into Where the Streets Have No Name during the Zoo TV tour is the best moment that U2 has every had. Chilling to inspiring in two seamless songs.

I agree. The ZOO TV show I attended in which I was right next to the extended stage, was ... incredible. Only another show was as great, but I'll keep that to myself. But since ZOO TV... nothing... well actually... Roger Waters current Wall tour looks pretty darn amazing too.

This entire video was shot at the gig where U2 thought might be their last. A few days prior, Adam Clayton, the bassist, had collapsed and broken down after his alcoholism took control of him spectacularly. Nobody in the band knew whether they could continue anymore, which is why they played this gig with that reckless verve. So brilliant.

Christ, this makes every hair stand up on my back...the segue into Streets brings tears to the eyes and reminds you of a time when music really meant something...a long time ago now though, maybe that's what makes it bittersweet in a way..

They played for their lives that night in '93. WTSHNN has never sounded this intense, neither before nor after. The moments from when Edge's guitar comes chiming, via Adam kicking in, to where the singing starts, are the Zenith of U2's career. I wish they would try to replicate this version of 'Streets' - it's perfect.

For real when he pretends to hit the needle in to his arm and he then sings Hallelujah I had tears in my eyes. The way he describes the feeling of a drug addict on his short lasting High. It really is nbeliebably touching. U2 are not just a band who play there songs, the concerts are one solid piece of Art!

It's all about Adam's heavy bass sound and the blurred, ambient feel of the dominant keyboards over the guitar...they've never done a better version, and I doubt they will.

There were a lot of high points on the ZOO TV tour, this was probably the best moment of all.

This rendition of running to a standstill is even more amazing than the album version. And the Edge's echoed melodies!!!! Goosebumps.

Such a classic song. I wish they played thid song more often cause it's one of their most emotional and touching songs.

One thing that sucks about ,,being around a while" u get less and less excited about things,cause u' ve seen it all before..But my God, goin to U2 show is a treat every time..ive seen 'em many, many times now, in europe and all over North America..Every flippin' concert is awsome..sorry - Stones and Pink Floyd, u are great, but your Shows were never as exciting as U2's...goin to see them this summer in Lansing ,Mi...70 ooo people sold out...and excited again !!...best live band ever..thank u

Still has not been beaten - ZOO TV. Period. Those that witnessed it will agree.

Everyone's bashing U2; how boring and bland they became. Maybe they're right. But remember them at this stage; the best band in the world. They made history with this tour, the most groundbreaking, but also the most soulful spectacle in rock history. Still is. And this video catches the exact highlight of that tour, which is then the highlight of U2's career. I love this. As big and touching as rock gets.

I'll take this to my grave: 5:35 is the greatest moment in every u2 concert.

I went to the Auckland gig on this tour. An old neighbour was in the 3Ds playing support. He nicked a bottle of wine from the after-party and apparently incurred Bono's wrath. True story 🙂 Awesome gig. Still remember the sun setting behind the enormous stage. Wicked

Omg, how was it?

Lighting in a bottle... A band with a complete catalog that was still young enough to bring the energy to the stage, not to mention the money required to put on a show like Zoo TV. If you weren't there I would say it was the Gen X Woodstock on tour, maybe I'm being dramatic, but again, if you weren't there you don't know. We'll never see it again.

That transition from Running to Stand Still to the organ progression in the intro of Streets is probably the best few seconds in live music history. Then again, I always end up saying that about U2.

I have been wathcing this video for an hour straight, and can't even describe it. Gives me goosebumps. Unbelievable

when he just stops in the middle of walking back to the main stage and looks back at the crowd and the spotlights go off and you think the concerts over.....then you here the intro of where the streets have no name so beautiful!

Larry has said that this is his favorite song and it must be. He actually smiles at 6:58. He's said that he's concentrating so hard during concerts that people think he's in constant pain.

12 years later and I've just watched this footage. I saw and posted that exact moment elsewhere. What an incredible look of calm and satisfaction on his face, smashing one of the biggest songs on the planet in front of thousands of people. Just extraordinary 🙂
