Don't forget about the Berend Botjes euthenised against their will. It would be very brave to do so, but could we see some questions about Hoekstra's view on Dutch journalists in part II? The day Dutch journalists relentlessly grilled Hoekstra about mr. Voetberg's comment above was basically the last day they did their work properly.

@@roadrage9191 But he hasn't changed his ways! He hasn't taken it back, as mentioned before, he is a public figure. Not some old dude that kindof made a little accidental mistake in a mumbling story. He actually purposely used lies in his speeches, by which he tried influencing people.

U H89 that’s how Dutch ambassadors work, I believe the us handles it differently. They hand-pick their ambassadors (the government/president does I believe) and they’re just set there

Really depends on the situation I think. Some diplomatic personnel might have a posting in the Netherlands for 3 months, go home for a couple weeks, then have a 6 month posting in Germany, go home for 2 months, then have a 2 month posting in South Korea etc. And they might mostly live in their diplomatic bubbles, meaning that they mostly interact with people from their native country, whether that be other diplomats, government officials back home, or people visiting the home country who are in need of assistance.

Funny video, to bad the ambassador has some really stupid ideas about Europe. I think he is using this as a promotional stunt/charm offensive to regain some credit after his incredible dumb comments. (that will not work Mr ambassador, we are not so forgetful or forgiving as the American public) I hope the next president sends a decently informed ambassador that actually knows some things about Europe.

Niet zo gek aangezien hij hier geboren is en meerdere jaren heeft gewoond. Die eerste paar jaar zijn toch bepalend voor welke klanken je kan maken als volwassene.
