Being a Brit, I've got to say the US WW2 service dress uniform was the smartest looking uniform the US army ever had. Good to see it returning.

I'm a Marine....Always hated the Army's service uniform....But this Service uniform is by far the most handsome uniform they introduced or should it be said re-introduced back in service, why were they ever done away with is beyond me. Congrats Army, someone truly is making a difference for you folks.

The one time a Marine makes sense still a horses ass but you cant fix dumb angry smart mouthed and Stupid US 75 Regiment Rangers think you mariney weenies are well you know what you are just stay with your guys in your unit and ill stay in mine.
As a WW2 living historian I can tell you it's a great uniform. It's versatile and can be mixed. The Pinks&Greens had a chocolate shirt and a tan shirt. There were a tan or green tie. Their was the regular jacket and the so-called "Ike jacket" and the B-13 jacket that was similar to the "Ike". All the different combinations were wonderful, it was uniform with a touch of flair. We wear both good reproductions and original uniforms including original shoes.
During WWII officers wore dark jacket and tan pants, enlisted men wore dark jacket and dark pants. As my dad said, you could easily recognize who to salute, and/or avoid.
"Tailored?" When I was in the Army it was "Here's your uniform. Close enough."

You kids were spoiled. When I was in the army we didn’t even get uniforms. They just gave you a pointy stick to kill a Buffalo so you could use the hide to make a loincloth!

As a former soldier, I like them. Hopefully the ARMY will stick with them for a while. It seems the ARMY has always been trying to find something new rather than creating an identity. It’s fine to upgrade utility uniforms and equipment but the Class A uniform is what identifies your service.

I like it, it's about time the Army adopts the pressed and dressed, sharp uniforms like the troops from the Marine Corps. 🇺🇸
They definitely look cool and sharp, and give that nod to history which is priceless. It's a sweet uniform, no lie. I can already hear the Glenn Miller playing.

Love these uniforms! Nice throw back to tradition
I remember when our Dad wore the pink and green in the fifties and said it was expensive back then. He had to pay out of pocket as an officer. They did look really nice though!
My father served in WWII and never wore "pinks & greens." Those were for the officers. He was an enlisted man and wore OD, plus khaki in the summer time.
Thank god. I'll take one for each day of the week! This is the kind of professional garrison uniform the Army needs. We should all switch over and never change it again.

It's a beautiful uniform. I'm glad the Army figured uniforms out. Great Camo: OCP Great Service U's: Greens
Finally, this was a great uniform and it is good to see it again! The material is better and it is great to see the Army went first class on this. It is well worth the cost. We made much less in the 70's and you had to get several different types of uniforms and it was even worse for female soldiers. We wound up spending much more in real terms when you considered our pay. Many of us got some of our uniforms from the Thrift Shop so that we would not have to dig so far into our pockets and the clothing allowance never covered all the expenses. The Army Uniform that followed the Pink and Greens was bad and that is what I had when I first came in. My relatives who served in World War II (my uncles and step father) looked so much sharper than we did in the 70's. The the changes after that until now went from bad to worse. "The Blues" belong back in a formal setting and that change back to tradition is really welcome news. As a retiree, I am so happy to see our young soldiers and officers back in a uniform that makes them look sharp. It really improves Our Army's appearance to me. What a fantastic improvement. Army Strong!
Love the 40s classic GI look.......top class
That is so sharp!!! I was the Green Class A’s, and wore the Blues in the Old Guard for ceremonies.
I always loved these uniforms since I come from a family of WW11 veterans.I wish they had them as standard issue when I was in the Army back in the mid 80's.

This blows the doors off the dress blues It just makes so much more since and looks dapper

these are some fine looking timeless uniforms
About time! Wish they had this sharp uniform when I was in.
Beautiful and also an honor for those who served in the past🇺🇸❤️

I remember wearing service uniforms such as that in the in the air force when I first joined i.e. they were blue. The day we were allowed to wear BDUs for daily duty, the maintenance cost to the service members was reduced. Good luck and say hi to Glenn Miller.
I can not wait!🙌🏾
The uniform looks a lot better than the current uniform.
That's a damn sharp uniform. A classic!
Thank You!
Looks incredible!
dope to see this coming back
I’m digging the new look!
Love the new looks, makes me think about reenlisting.
Happy to know that I only got 6 weeks left of osut training at fort Benning and I’m getting the pinks and greens tomorrow so I’m excited to get them
Oh why oh why didn't they have them when I was on active duty in the mid 80's. So classy looking, and with that belt.....awesome!!
They look so dope. Beautiful design.
As a 25 year US Army NCO retiree, I an happy to see the US Army return to it's "Military" roots with the Pinks & Greens. It represents a proper Service Uniform. Not the wanna be business suits I wore after 1979, which never looked right. The only exception are my Dress Blues, which are back to being a Special dress uniform as it was intended to be. The Army got off course in years past following the Air Forces idea of a uniform, but should have stayed with the Traditional uniform as the Navy and Marine Corp had. I am glad to see a return to what was best and traditional.
They look great!! Never should have left this style.
I love the belt. I wish we had them when I was in.
I Like it! Really nice sleek look. Perfect tribute too the ww2 uniforms and earlier army uniforms.
Can’t wait for my ship date and can’t wait for this new dress uniform
I cannot wait to put these on
Those look good. Far better than the last two.
They look so slick and professional. I'm glad we're going back to the Pinks and Greens
These uniforms belong in a museum. Surely we can come up with army attire that reflects modernity!
By the time these uniforms go into effect I’ll be an officer hopefully a captain or major. It’s always great to pay respect to the past and to those who was apart of those times . 🤟🏾🤟🏾👏🏾👏🏾
The blouse / jacket and garrison cover look just like the Marine corps dress green..... Looks nostalgic with the pants! I like it from an old Marine!! Classic and cool!
World War 2 Retro Style That Fucking Awesome
I went into the Army in 1955 and we had the Ike Jacket with matching trousers and brown boots and low quarters. Never did like the new greens and fortunately did not have to buy a new uniform. We were called the "The Brown Boot Army" and very proud.
This was the Best Green Service Uniform the US Army has ever had returns. very nice.
They look great, very similar to the USMC service A/B/C uniform which we never stopped wearing. Glad the Army came back around. Actually with the brown shoes and khaki trousers, I like them more than my old USMC service dress.
Nothing beats the classic
Dad served in the Army in Vietnam. I've always loved the Army green even as an ROTC cadet. Ultimately I ended up enlisting in the Navy, just in time for the switch back to the iconic crackerjack uniform. Can't say I liked wearing that but there was no mistaking a Navy man for the Good Humor ice cream man afterwards. It is nice to see the Army take a look back to it's better days. Such a great looking uniform.
Awesome, the patches will be sewn on again
Outstanding!
I'm glad they are actually doing this! Bringing back that traditional and heritage and history is exactly what the Army needs.
I think they should have never changed this uniform- It looks awesome, taking it back to the OG way- 🤙🏼💯🤙🏼
Classics never go out of style! The garrison cap looks great. The peaked cap is ok if you're re-enacting Memphis Belle...
In 1978 until 1982 We had 1, Class A (Which were all green with kaki shirts and black tie) and 2 of a more casual Class c which were a short sleeve kaki with open collar.) as for our BCU's at the time we had 3 tuck in shirts, solid OD Green (Only special units like LRRP's, Air Bourne and Special Forces had the good untuck "Jungle Type uniforms, in camo patterns, as did the Marines.) And get this. Uncle Sugar paid for it all! Everything changed right after I left the service. Goodbye Steel Pot. Good bye old M-16. and 1911. Oh1 and yeah. The base Ball Hat.
Good Choice. Greatest Generation is honored.
The army’s making some solid uniform choices finally.
Fun fact that was 3rd Platoons DS where I went to basic. (Delta 1-19 Infantry) she was the junior Mambas DS I was 1st platoon (Spartans) back in September. She isn’t exactly the nicest person but she was funny
Cool I’m going to basic in November so I guess I’ll get a pair.
This looks 🔥🔥🔥🔥
This is the sharpest uniform they’ve worn the last 70 years. Excellent job Army in bringing it back
I love the WW2 uniforms! I'm looking forward to wearing it after I graduate bootcamp. 💪🏾
It looks a heck of a lot better than the dress greens I was issued back in 1969.
These look great!!!
I like these uniforms and I also wish they had them when I was in active service 1983 to 1989
Throw-back 2020
I’m scheduled for basic training in January so I hope I get these 😬
Amazing!!!
Brown jump boots. Awesome.
Much better looking than the blues. Professional and clean.
It looks great! Go Army!
Yes please these look badass!
What a better honor to the history of this amazing country
Very sharp looking uniform!
Just graduated from basic and AIT (OSUT) and was the last cycle here to get the old one! SMH.
Very sharp!
I love the idea of this dress uniform return.
The army green uniform of the 1960s and 1970s (poplin shirt & black tie) was the best one. It came in winter and summer versions.
Those are sweet. Looks like my great-grandpas uniform that served in WW2.
