He’s clearly got a lot of potential. The only two things that concern me, and they haven’t raised their head yet, is what is his discipline like. The travelling community aren’t known for their monk like discipline and work ethic when it comes to training and nutrition, neither are the jokers and fun loving individuals (Hatton, Frankie gavin) hopefully McCann is different.

@@jamesosullivan479 I’m not hating on the kid, he’s a talented rookie pro and I did say those things haven’t appeared yet. I hope they’re never an issue for him and he really maximises his talent. He’d be the first in the traveller community that I know about to have that level of dedication., because those lads enjoy their food and partying like the rest of us.

He has worked his ass of and sacrificed shit loads to get where he is and he is still so young .. he has money and fame and a natural gift of boxing but still modest, down to earth and respectful of other people and other fighters ….. so yeah like I said before a good role model 😉 happy Christmas 👍🏻

Well done young man,you can hear it in his voice that he has passion for this sport. Having knocked around with travellers many years ago,I know how they think when it comes to boxing. They live and breathe boxing. I shall keep on an eye on this young lads career.

why why why: Want to wish you success with your boxing. Whatever your background and whether you are boy or man it's the best thing that you can do hard lad as you'll learn more of what life's about in a fight than in years at school. May your punches be strong and may you be so proud of yourself as you prove what you're made of. Hope that you can hurt your opponent really very badly with lots of powerful repeated punishing punches to his head and face. Can you?

Kid is far beyond his years in maturity and skill I truly hope he goes the full distance and sets up his family along the way!

Saw him a couple of years ago and thought he was good, very very slick, fast and powerful with good movement. Last fight got tested a bit but came through well, he's another of this next generation of kids who seems to have their heads firmly screwed on. I hope he stays that way and gets a title, he's very exciting to watch.

Watched him as a amateur at repton and he has the ability to go on to be a world champ, best amateur i have ever seen and he has that X factor 🥊

Can you really be superstar as a bantamweight? Causal fans generally prefer watching fights at slightly heavier weights. I cannot remember the last real 'superstar' who big fights were below welterweight (Duran, Mayweathers signature fights were at welterweight). Doubt he got the natural size to fight in this division.

Inoue not massive outside Japan and not getting multimillion dollar purses so I say he not a true superstar - that not a judgment on ability. As for Pacquiao I think we all know how he moved up, so if he got a good pharmacist I sure McCann can do the same.

Great credit to the travelling community, a community who get a lot of stick but let me tell you, some of my most loyal friends have been travellers, they are real men, you treat them with respect and they will treat you like brothers.
