The problem is, Tyson is in so many hidden places. I think they supply most chicken nuggets to the restaurant chains like McDonalds that you may not give them any money at the home dinner plate, but every time you go out, I'll bet there's something on your plate or in the bag that comes from Tyson Foods. Remember Tyson isn't just chicken!

And in California and other places where they are mainly Latino, many are Mexican American and not just immigrants. Ditch diggers (Construction laborers) are also not paid "very well" in most places. Yes they make well above minimum wage, but they are hardly highly paid either for the most part, generally making a lower middle class wage at best.

It's deindustralization and consolidation. The majority of those being laid off are migrant workers themselves but a large minority are US born American workers as well.

There are several Tyson chicken processing plants in East Texas. they have been hiring Illeagals for many years. These people will work 7 days a week , live in large groups in small houses and send majority of their money to Mexico.

They closed down the entire pork plant because pork production is down in the US. They are hiring in other locations, like Tennessee. You want the job at $16.50 an hour? Go get it.
