Try is the god that raised Fenrir. Everyone thinks Tyr is self-sacrificing, but it's not. I've worked with Tyr for forty-plus years, and the act is remorseful. He loves Fenrir and does it as a self-punishment for his act of betrayal of trust to Fenrir. In my years of working with him, I found him to be, even in my fights of justice, very soft, stern, and guiding. Personally, I've always stood up for what's right whether that be popular or not, whether I personally liked it or not, that is all Tyr looks for rather than any offering. I was a child pre-teen when Tyr found me, not the other way around as did Loki, trust me that was not easy for me to understand in the 70s with a Roman Catholic family. It's nice that I am seeing people changing their views on them both to the way I have always known them to be.

As a Christian, I find your videos very entertaining and full of wisdom. Though we disagree on theology. I respect the various God's of the Norse faith. I love learning more about them.

You know there is a valid reading of the sermon on the mount as Jesus giving permission to believe in other god’s. “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. ' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbour as yourself.” If you know the context of this verse you’ll notice this actually doesn’t even necessarily forbid worship of other gods depending on your philosophy around love. I was raised catholic and I don’t work with Jesus as an adult but I still consider him as real as the rest.

Thank you - this was great. Almost all my life (certainly from teens) I have worked for human rights, DEI, and justice, and when I came across Tyr in the 90s the connection helped my work, and felt like an offering to Tyr. From one of the community comments you read out: I had never thought to check what day of the week I was born on, and it was a Tuesday.

About a year after I realized that I was called to this way, by Odin, I was greeted by Tyr. I had recently learned of him and the stories. He greeted me in a subtle yet clear way. of all places, I was at a small. Mexican deli, for lunch. As I was leaving, I noticed a small statue of a Norse God. Kind of out of place! The statue was sort of waving, but the right hand was broken off! Right then I knew it was Tyr, and that he had a sense of humor. Hit me a little later that it was a Tuesday.

I worked with Ares, the Greek god of war and I've always used my Militaria collection as a sort of offering to him. Helmets, knives, swords and various other things that come into my hands. Of course I'm in the US and it's a lot easier to get these things. I've recently been struggling with my beliefs so I haven't done much and feel pretty bad about that.

I have not yet worked with Tyr but I have always seen what he did as making amends with Fenrir. He has been the one to befriend the wolf. He had been the trusted one. Also, on the part about disabled Gods you can't forget Höðr.

Tyr is not what many might think. He has a sense of humor. He can afford it, he's an immensely powerful, ageless being. Brave, honorable and even kind. As well as fierce, in battle and friendship!

Thank you for the presentation on Tyr, I don't have an original culture I can relate to in terms of mythology, but I do have sympathy for some pagan plight, even more so If the Gods embody the human form, but are superhuman in feets. While in present times an armless man is considered a cripple/lame plus conditioned into dissability benefits he losses out on potential for growth in terms of physical prowess, whereas in the martial arts if you rise over an adversity of misfortune befalling the body('Shigurui' manga/anime comes to mind or 'The one Armed Swordsman') you become a better version of yourself even if it was unfair, wether heading towards fate or destiny.

In my own belief is that Týr and Þórr are not the sons of Oþínn but his two brothers. In my mind Þórr is Vili (Will) and Týr is Vé (Holy). Oþinn is the mind (Ódr & Hámr), Þórr is the body (Lik) and Týr is the "heart" (Ónd). Another thing: Swedish place named after Týr is mostly in his more common Swedish name: Ti. That's the reason why most people don't know of the Swedish places named after him. Like Tistaborg or Tiveden. Tuesday in Swedish is Tisdag. Lastly: When I reflect on Týr, I feel more stable and safe. Standning on more solid ground. Thank you Bente for this video! ❤

Btw all of the components of Glipneir turned out to exist in our world. Mountains have root like structures, bears have very short sinuses so it was kinda understandable that they thought they didn’t have them, many fish breath air so a fish’s breath is definitely a thing, some birds produce spittle, and I don’t know what kind of cats they had back in the day but mine definitely make sounds when they walk.

This video was perfectly timed! I very recently felt called by Tỳr and this helped me a lot! I made a little macrame stone net necklace with my labradorite Tiwaz rune to wear for him. I take devotional walks around my neighborhood and try to live by his principles of honor, integrity, and honesty.

I worked with Tyr when the tenants of my building went up against the landlord in front of the Landlord Tenants Board a couple years ago. I gave him the offering of my Remembrance Day poppy (the poppy we wear in Canada to remember our veterans) from the week earlier. It wasn't the best outcome, but it also could've been far worse.

Story time and I welcome feedback. I went no contact with my father and his family years ago. 10 months after I got engaged, my father passed away 7 months before my wedding. I resumed speaking to my stepmother and her daughter. My stepsister has been blessed with a fresh start in life also. I just returned from visiting both of them and as they live on a lake, we spent a whole day out on the water. When I peeled my suit off, I was tickled to see I quite clearly have an upward pointing sunburned arrow between my breasts. My sisters howled with laughter when I showed them! Step sister thought it was a spade and biological sister agreed it looked exactly like an arrow. They are both right. To see an arrow I have to move both my breasts a bit to the side, and left to their own devices, the curve of breasts indeed make the burn look like a spade from a deck of cards. I certainly can go on about how this video accurately depicts my father and husband and our family dynamics. The burn is still very pink, but it also seems to be browning. I don’t think it’s going to peel. How should I respond? I believe I need to divine on it. While I have a variety of card decks, including a rune deck and set of smoky quartz runes, I want/ need to sit with myself to determine which one to use. ( Or is this just overthinking? )

Thank you for making this. I am extremely new to this, but I have had a calling to Tyr for months(I’ve only been on this path for 6 or 7 months now). The only thing I don’t like however is the story of him losing his arm. I know I am new to this, but how was it justice to lock up the wolf out of fear? I don’t understand, honestly. Wouldn’t that have been an injustice to the animal?

If the Romans associated him with their War god, but also with the Norse "Thing", does that mean they thought of him as a god of war councils and strategic advice?

I love Tyr! ❤❤❤ Yes that did stick in my head. It makes sense. I love Tyr even more now. It is interesting that Odin seems to take on traits of most of the Aesir Gods. Some think onebess, but this historical infirmatioj links things up. I love Tyr, because he investigates to create fair punishment. Wow! Love learning his othwr names! ❤ yea! I am trying to develop a relationship with Tyr. I know his symbol of a sword, but I use a Jasper arrowhead to work wuth him, sharp pointy things as weapons. I think that made him kaugh. Lol it takes an eye to shoot an arrow. He defenitely told me if not activism, small acta of kindness to stand up for others. These can be just as powerful as activusm. and yes... a sacrificial act for the good of all. This includes donations and volunteering. We need the people as much as heroes. Yes the disabked thing speaks to me, but the fact that you forgot is awesome! Nithing stops him. When you go through awful rhings, sonething that gives you a diability or long term injury, you find yourself braver and do not fear death. As a person of disability and a deadly chronic illness, and also as a witch, I feel him within me. I resonate with him in a lot of ways. Not the law part. Though, lawyer was on my likely voca5ion list whej I was tested. Lol He comes to me as gentle and warm as well. He is the warrior I want to be. I see a lot of white pearlescent energy around him, but get spota of black/dark gray. Not sure whuch. He is very subttle. I have not worked with him yet. This us just what I've experienced so far.
