    Some of the very BEST (also no cost) education I’ve gotten was just reading installation manuals for equipment. I kick myself often because for the first 5 or so years, I didn’t read any of them and now…. EVERY CHANCE I GET! Seriously, it’s been some of the most enlightening stuff and has saved me hours of headache.

    Hey bud , thanks for doing these type of videos, I really appreciate it. I have a Traulsen freezer G22010 and it keeps on freezing up. Im stuck on why my heater coil is not working. today I tried once more but were can I get the diagram so I can narrow it down to were the problem is. it is an old freezer I know. but i love fixing stuff and now is about feeling proud of getting it fixed. My parents have owned it since 1998 I believe, running our first bakery. 4 years ago I took over one of my parents locations, we are Dorcas Bakery, and although my Dad wants me to get rid of this well built freezers, I have been tackling down issues as they come due to the age of the unit. there is no other better unit for me, but years of service on this unit are taking a toll on it. First , the clock needed to be replaced," EASE ONE" done! Then, I fixed a short, some wires got to old and I fixed it 3 years ago. 3 months ago, I noticed it kept freezing up and the heater coils would not turn on. initially the wiring as faulty and old, I swapped it, now it has a good connection (checked with multimeter)...bottom line Im stuck , what is my next route?

    Any thoughts about sequence of operation. Wiring a new WI freezer (everything is 2 speed evap fans now days with extra relay to control speeds) and seems like heat craft gives no provision for compressor to shut off on pump down before defrost heaters come on. Max breaker/ fuse size on nameplate does not seem to reflect compressor/ condenser motors running amps AND heater AMPS to be drawing at same time. Defrost kicks heaters on same time as solenoid closes and compressor starts pumping down Do we change factory control set up/ add more controls or just oversize what nameplate says for fuse sizes?? Small 1.5 HP WI freezer box this is. Dawned on me with getting proper fuse sizes. I would hate to single phase a new 3 phase compressor because a fuse blew prematurely! What do guys think/ do?

    Hi, for some time clocks I have seen defrost heater resistor receiving power directly from the time clock. In other cases, there is a separate contactor for defrost heater, and the time clock is connected to the coil of the defrost contactor. What determines this difference in wiring? Thanks.

  • @Cscrefandhvac

    @Cscrefandhvac

    It can depend how the system is set up but more for the amperage of the heaters because sometime they need their own circuit because of what they draw for amps .

    I'm working on a turbo air walk-in freezer. At start up, the fans would not run because the fan delay was not cold enough. What will cause that fan delay to get cold enough to kick the fans on if the room is at 65 degrees Fahrenheit. Does the compressor just keep kicking in and out on low pressure till the room gets cold enough?

  • @Cscrefandhvac

    @Cscrefandhvac

    7 күн бұрын

    the fan delay should have a sensor on the coil or in the coil sensing the temp. once it gets cold enough the fans will kick on but the compressor should not be going on and off on low pressure while the fans aren’t running .
