TYPICAL FIRST CORNER MANEUVERS
Mitjet Italian Championship, 2024, Round 1, Paul Ricard, Race 3.
Due the reverse grid, I start in P8. And in the first corner the usual carnage happens.
Did I survive it?

That was mega race!
Alberto Naska Eng Berto, the way he is beating you off the corner is he is not exiting the corner in a true arc. He is coming off the corner with his front wheels turned, then for a short period of time he straightens his wheel and goes in a straight line, this is allowing his car to have less wheel spin off the corner. It's called squaring off the corner on the exit. That second or so of going mostly straight helps eliminate wheel spin and allows you to put more power down into the track. He has to turn sharper when he gets to the outside of the turn, but he carries that momentum with him when he does, giving him an advantage off the corner which he carries with him all the way down the straight. Your corner entries are fantastic, and your braking is superb, but at times the hard corner entries can compromise your exits. Racing at its heart is about beating the guy your racing to the next corner, which in large part is about how well you exited the last corner you came from. Corner entry is very important, but corner exit is more important than corner entry. The best scenario is to carry the most momentum you can through the center of the corner, when your traction is at its weakest point. That's where your setup should be optimized, for the center of the corner, depending on your driving style. Racing is all about momentum, the more momentum you can carry through center, the faster your lap times will be. It's all about the mo baby! Momentum is king. Overdriving a corner will take away from your momentum. Be smooth, roll center with the most momentum possible so you can get a good exit and you will bring home lots of trophies! Always remember, it's all about the mo Berto!
How many here from the US? Glad to be here, we don’t have road (or circuit) racing the same way Europe has it. Love the work on the voice over as well… I couldn’t imagine knowing multiple languages (and basically having no choice in the matter). The amount of different languages and countries in Europe and how they all just get on with it has always amazed me. Wish I was more a “person of the world” but I can’t really afford to travel a whole lot and especially across the pond. Thanks for letting me rant about pretty much nothing!! Now back to the racing!
singlehandedly popularizing racing all over the world, daje alberto!
The best pov cam I've seen so far and excellent racing skills without being the fastest! You have the cool and intelligent for making the best there is to gain 🙏
Lovin the Naska content once again!
Omg final lap was the craziest of this channel
Nice racing. But in my opinion the onboard is confusing because the cameras don't line up. A simple wide main camera looking out of the front windshield might be better.

By having a wide angle lens you introduce letterboxing, as well as the perception on depth being altered. I personally thought the camera was great, we could still see the sides which a lot of people don't include.
also btw the black audi gets off the curb earlier at the final corner idk if that causes lack of grip on exit or what just trying to help
awesome as usual! great camera views too!
Loved the commentary your doing amazing good luck with the championship

And the onboard editing/splicing of the camera angles!!??? This is awesome! 3:32

Excellent video ! Nice P2 👍
How come you upshift with the sequential and downshift with a paddle?
Great race 🏁 the steering technique is crazy 🤪 I don't know how u do it. The car must be on rear all the time and you are correcting it. What is your background?

@NaskaAlbertoENG how come you are upshifting with sequential and downshifting with paddle?
How does this car shift or what transmission is it? At first it looks like a sequential transmission to me, but then he downshifted with the pedals on the steering wheel?
Albe, remember what Suelio told you about placing your MRP, and not asking for extra rotation on late exit. Its also possible Damiani has slightly more toe out on the rear. If i was you i'd take your onboards and show them to Suelio, ask what his perspective is.

Maybe this video. But the race happened over a month ago. In fact even Round 2 has already been... Where he wins a race!
