Why is everyone hating on her accent but no one says anything when a German has a strong accent when speaking English? Props to her for learning another language

Because when that’s the case with a non native English speaker, it’s usually because their English isn’t very good, but they’re nonetheless trying their best, but with her, her knowledge is good, so why not even sound German? It’s cringy and I sounded German from the very beginning when I started learning lol
She did very well to understand the German native speakers at such a fast speed. Understanding is not easy for the foreign learner.
Lots of people are dumping on her accent in German, but it's easy to understand, she is generally peppy and pleasant, and she speaks with fluidity and correct grammar, so no big problem. That said, I'm sure that she could improve her accent dramatically and quickly by working with an individual teacher for a couple of hours, with some follow-up. It really pays to have some one-on-one instruction and feedback. Of course, there are some sounds in German that are really hard for us English speakers to pronounce correctly - notably the "r" sounds - but there is a lot else that she could fix very quickly.

And I notice a lot of Germans saying the accent is charming. I'm sure it's like hearing English with a German accent, sounds cool and charming.
You go girl. Don't let these haters in the comments put you down thanks for your upload!

@coinínbán While it's very, very difficult to acquire a perfect native accent and some aspects of pronunciation will always always "blow your cover", you can still get very, very close even as an adult. It's not learning later in life that's the problem. I learnt German from 15 and now, although some aspects of my native accent come through now and then, I'm told that on a good day it's hard to tell I'm not German unless you listen for it. No hate to her, her actual german is very good, but her accent really lets her down, she speaks like a first semester student who hasn't learnt to pronounce things properly yet which is kind of tragic because it really betrays how good her german actually is.

Okay, wow. Saying her accent is the worst I've heard would be an understatement. I've heard countless thick accents to the point I had to take a few seconds to break down what they had just said, but this just takes the cake. At least everyone I've ever heard TRIED to pronounce things properly. This girl sounds like she just read everything off a piece of paper the way she wanted to, knew she was nowhere near correct and didn't give a damn.

Heidi Klum? Every single American can tell she's not American. Bad example. It is incredibly difficult to become an exceptional speaker of a language that incorporates different sounds into their words than your mother tongue. Most speakers of a foreign language will never be able to speak it without any kind of accent.

To every person speaking with an American accent: It does not sound bad to a native German speaker. I guess Americans who know some German are a tad too sensitive about the American accent. Nothing to be ashamed of and btw. articles are overrated. When in doubt just use the article of your choice. People will understand it anyway.

Munich is the wrong place to ask the people: "What's typical Bavarian?". Munich is more german, than Bavarian. The most people in Munich comes from the outsite of Bavaria. Better you ask in smaller citys like Landshut, Rosenheim, ... . Or you ask in smaller villages in Oberbayern. Of course some people, are born in Munich or Bavaria (like me) and living or working Munich.
