Today I learned about the different speech styles. 1. Frozen - this is very formal and it's hard to change. Some terms used can be only understood by specific people or those who are in that field Ex: prayers, oaths 2. Formal - this is usually scripted and used in formal situations. Ex: grad speech, businesses meetings 3. Consultative style - this is when the speaker consults the other. This is used in situations like teacher consulting his/her students, doctors checking their patients, jobseekers inquiring etc. 4. Casual - this is used in informal situations, the speaker uses colloquial words, jargons and the use of language is less strict. It can be used to close friends, family, classmates etc. Ex: FB posts, live game streaming And lastly, 5. Intimate style - this is used in situations where no one shall hear whatever the speaker is sharing to the other. It could be a couple talking to each other or family members having intimate and serious conversations. This is used in private/personal/ confidential situations. I want to master them all 🤩

not exactly the same. speech styles here refer to levels of formality. Formal style in this topic is how you speak formally such as delivering a formal speech. but you may use a conversational way of talking and not a conventional way if needed. When I say conversational, it is not the scripted or memorized speech.

Hi! I really like ur videos but I would like to correct and give some tips when prnouncing the words. Pls soften the words with "s" in it like listening. It is not pronounced at lizzening but lissening. Though there are some words that pronounce "s" as "z" such as these. And as for the words with "tion", it is pronounced as "shen". I'm sorry if I seem pessimistic, I'm really meticulous when it comes to pronounciation
