- These are divided into threegroups:
(i) Staple Goods
(ii) Impulse Goods
(iii) Emergency Goods

(i) Staple Goods
These goods are purchased on a regular basis.

For example: Ketchups, Toothpaste, Crackers for festivals

(ii) Impulse Goods
These goods are purchased without planning.

For example: Candy Bars & magazines.

(iii) Emergency Goods
These goods are purchased when a needis urgent.

For example: Umbrella for rainstorm, Shovel for Winter Snow.
